I am able to run those test cases that I have created daily. So if there is a new build the next day, I can run the scripts and get it tested faster. I am able to do about an hours time of automation testing that would take 5 - 6 hours to do it manually. I find the product is written very well and easy to use. I also like the fact that they do update the product and make changes, or make new features. **What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Test Studio?** The program does use a lot of memory, but I had a 5 year old computer that was outdated. Once I udpated to a new computer this year, it is runnnig fine. I would like to be able to make the error report bigger when I click on an error. Need to support WPF better and add new featurs that support WPF **What problems is Progress Telerik Test Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** The company I work for is able to do daily release tesing of our product and Test Studio is a fast effective way to test the product every day. The product has saved me time and energy as a QA tester. Test Studio takes the tests that I have created and test the product ins a fast and effective way. ### 4. Also all the in built functions helps. **What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Test Studio?** The Responsive UI functionality is not that easy to script as there is no scroll bar to scroll through the scripts it becomes difficult also the device are not update as per the lastest device **What problems is Progress Telerik Test Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can run the script overnight and analyse the script in the day which make it easier to review the fail count and the pass count and also to send the reports across when needed ### 6. Elements repository is a killer feature that really saves me a lot of time especially when maintaining tests. It supports the .NET Framework and project can also be edited using Visual Studio. Integration with the issue tracker JIRA **What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Test Studio?** It is quite expensive, especially for small companies and code editor performance needs some improvement **Recommendations to others considering Progress Telerik Test Studio:** Even though it is not necessary to write code in order to create an automated test, I still highly recommend that you will be willing to learn some C#/VB.net in order to benefit of the real power of this. **What problems is Progress Telerik Test Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automating our manual testing procedures which may become quite tedious. We are also monitoring performance of pages across time, giving us valuable information of when and what is affecting performance issues. ### 10. It can be tricky at first, but once you get something set up, you can save yourself a few man hours every week if it is a big project. **What do you dislike about Progress Telerik Test Studio?** The functional tests can unfortunately break easily if the scripts have to rely on Xpath and specific GUI elements. It's hard to scale up if a lot of what you build isn't globalized. That's not a Test Studio issue, that's more of a developer issue. Overall, the learning curve and knowledge you need to operate Test Studio can become a full time job. There's also the cost if you're a jack-of-all trades and the tool isn't paying off enough. $2500 is a hefty price if you're not part of the enterprise ring. **Recommendations to others considering Progress Telerik Test Studio:** If you're working on small projects and not a big one that requires constant maintenance (or just has a lot of code changes), this product might not be for you. If you are working on things with a lot of repetitive testing/code changes, for primarily manual testers and those with little programming knowledge, crafting a lot of basic tests is a time saver. It's also easy to begin crafting test cases to use in regression. Editing them can be a chore if the GUI isn't properly set up though. **What problems is Progress Telerik Test Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tired regression of manual tasks. It's one thing to test validation, log in, or generic navigation in one browser manually, but to do it over and over again across browsers or for different pages that have some slight variations, that's what Test Studio can help solve. ### 11.
