I like that it is easy to drag and drop models and orient them in PreForm. It is also easy to add support structures with the magic wand tool and visualize how the print will appear on the bed. It also allows for many different ways to customize the support structures and how the printer builds the layers. It also highlights areas where the build might fail, such as overhangs or intersecting models. There are many significant updates for the newest version, such as many more custom options for the rafts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't always find the support structures to be the best way to orient the part. Sometimes it makes the build take longer than necessary, and sometimes it can cause issues that cause the resin to spill out. It's not as automatic as it is supposed to be. There was an occasion when I was printing a spoon-like model and when it was nearly finished, the print would scoop up some of the resin and spill it out of the tray. It was a mess to clean up.
