When ever tere is new version on Postgresql then we need to manually update oiur software. But this is not the case with PostgreSQL on Amazon Linux 2 as it comes with auto update feature and the security patches are automatically applied as soon as they arrive. ### 2. You need to delete or detatch the instance from cloud formation and reattach it.
