## Polypane Reviews
  ### 1. Good tool to review your website on different viewports.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vipul G. | Web Engineer (Trainee), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Polypane?**

> The best thing I liked about this app is that we can test our websites on multiple viewports like desktop, mobile, small mobiles all together in just one app simultaneously.
> We can also inspect the elements of our website directly from Polypane as it has an inbuilt inspect tab which has dev tools as there are in chrome.
> We can also do synchronous scrolling and simulate click and other events simultaneously on all different viewports.
> We can also take screenshots of those viewports and send them to our senior dev or client if you face any difficulty in any viewport.

**What do you dislike about Polypane?**

> Synchronous events lag many times like if we are adding some elements dynamically on a click event and you click in one viewport it sometimes doesn't reflect those elements in other viewports.
> There should also be a dedicated tab for performance testing on different devices, it will be more useful and developers will not have to find other tools just for this.
> Synchronous scrolling should be more fast rest everything is fine.

**Recommendations to others considering Polypane:**

> I would recommend rechecking on chrome dev tools if some features or click events are not working in multiple viewports in synchronous scrolling because it lags sometimes.

**What problems is Polypane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

> I used to test the responsiveness in dev tools by chrome only but there I have to change the devices again and again to see the changes in different viewports, so it used to consume much time.
> But now, with the help of Polypane I can test in all the viewports at once in the same tab.
> Even I make the changes directly from the Polypane and see the results there and then can make the final changes in my code file.
> It made my UI responsiveness testing a lot easier.

**Official Response from Kilian Valkhof:**

> Hi Vipul! Thanks for your review 🙏 If you notice persistent syncing issues on your site but not on others, be sure to reach out to me so we can figure out the issue there.

For performance testing, you can turn on Web Vitals in the top right corner of the app. This will test each pane for the Core Web Vitals and show you exactly which parts of your page cause performance issues.

  ### 2. Reduced our design/layout bugs by 95% and our QA time by nearly 50%. All with an immeasurable ROI!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin W. | VP of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Polypane?**

The ability to control multiple browsers in a single motion and easily swap between layouts is huge!

**What do you dislike about Polypane?**

It is very system intensive, but nothing cannot be worked around.

**What problems is Polypane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nearly solved all Design/Layout related bugs overnight!

  ### 3. Browser to visualize various screen sizes in just 1 place. Great tool for UI/UX testing experts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sachin S. | Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Polypane?**

I like the visual options of Polypane. It allows you to show grids, multitab scroll, debug code instantly and view dark mode and light modes, among other media features which would otherwise make it hard to test in any other standard browsers simultaneously. Bugs are easier to check and fix visually.

**What do you dislike about Polypane?**

It is a RAM enduring tool as such runs with multiple browser instances that a synced together are open. I guess this would be the case if you were to do it any browser. One could disable the Hardware Accelator too.

**Recommendations to others considering Polypane:**

If you are considering polypane, do check out the trial version first. There are monthly and yearly plans available on the website. The support team (Kilian) is very responsive and does a fine job in answering your needs. I am sure you will find value in such a product for your full-time or part-time website building projects. I have particularly used it for SSG website building

**What problems is Polypane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I build responsive websites for fun and this tool is the best when running a browserify or anything equivalent to visualize various screen sizes at the same time. I debug within the panel with the console and the console gives me results for all viewport sizes instantly with clear indicators

  ### 4. The Swiss Army Knife of Browsers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pfaff D. | Digital Designer, Developer & Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Polypane?**

As a Senior Web Designer/Developer at a mid-size agency, I find the responsive tools most helpful on a day-to-day basis. That being said, we are also big proponents of web accesibility best practices and Polypane's built-in a11y compliance tools are definitely top-notch!

**What do you dislike about Polypane?**

There is nothing that I truly "dislike" about Polypane, but if it were possible to reduce the system resources needed for a large responsive tab session - that would be amazing.

**What problems is Polypane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Polypane allows me to quickly identify any sizing and alignment issues at up to 24 different breakpoints all on one screen. This has increased my production 4x in just a few short months. The web accessibility tools highlight areas where I need to improve my html markup to accommodate for screen readers and insure a great user experience for everyone who visits the site.

  ### 5. A Useful Tool For Today- Critical in My Workplace

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa L. | SAY Wellness LGBTQIA2S+ Program Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Polypane?**

I really enjoy getting to see a webpage in multiple panes. It makes me feel like I can see whats coming next, or go back without needing to scroll. It helps me stay on top of productivity.

**What do you dislike about Polypane?**

At first, it was very confusing to understand- I had to invest some time in making sure I got the logistics down. It's a different approach to surfing the web, so it took some time getting used to.

**Recommendations to others considering Polypane:**

Try it out and see how it feels- be sure to give yourself time to adjust before deciding if its right for you.

**What problems is Polypane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to surf the web in a much more organized and efficient manner. I have also made it easier to work on multiple projects at once with ease, even when I'm down to one screen.

  ### 6. Very Useful for website reviews and easy testing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaskirat J. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Polypane?**

Easy to setup and use, this saves a ton of time to view changes to a website across devices and platforms. The process is simple and the onboarding is easy to know as well

**What do you dislike about Polypane?**

It can be a bit slow and the visits are logged from an IP in US or something different from your own IP. It is a bit expensive a well. There are some extensions out there that do something similar but are cheaper.

**Recommendations to others considering Polypane:**

Although this is a very powerful suite of tools, Check out the free alternatives first to see if this is a good fit.

**What problems is Polypane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to review changes and monitor websites across multiple devices.
It saves a lot of manual testing time. It is very useful for the testing resources in my web development projects

**Official Response from Kilian Valkhof:**

> Hey Jaskirat,

Polypane does not contain any VPN but uses whatever you have configured on the device. There's literally no code in Polypane that reroutes the network (that would be terrible!) So it's likely that's you have a VPN running on an OS level and Polypane just uses that.

Other than responsive testing, Polypane also comes with a ton of accessibility and site quality features, like web vitals checking and accessibility issue reporting that really sets it apart from other tools. If you're looking to really improve your site, make sure to check out these features in Polypane!

  ### 7. I've Tried A Lot Of These

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin M. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Polypane?**

It really does a great job with testing media queries across different screen sizes. It even helps me remember to go mobile-first!

**What do you dislike about Polypane?**

I have a hard time getting PolyPane or any of the alternatives to be part of my permanent workflow. It always feels like a new toy but then I can't get myself to make it permanent!

**What problems is Polypane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is all about testing different screen sizes, at least the part of it that I used. It's helpful to have multiple windows open at once this way.

  ### 8. Polypane Browser for the Developers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aakash P. | Web Department Head, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Polypane?**

The thing I like about polypane is that it allows developers to test the responsiveness of their website by providing different views of the website in panes.

**What do you dislike about Polypane?**

Various features embedded in the browser sometimes do not work as expected. The application is buggy and occasionally unresponsive during my use.

**Recommendations to others considering Polypane:**

If you are a web developer who wants their website to look responsive and adequately tested, then I would recommend polypane to you.

**What problems is Polypane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to test webpages by making different windows of a single browser and resize them manually. Polypane offers responsive web development by providing a multi-plane preview of a webpage on a single application tab.

  ### 9. Polypane Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Polypane?**

Polypane is fairly easy to use. I have used this software to design and build websites for clients. The tools available for design are great and I enjoyed this app over GoDaddy's website designer.

**What do you dislike about Polypane?**

The development features were a bit technical but still easy to get the hang of. Also, there are YouTube videos.

**What problems is Polypane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's cost effective and I don't have to hire a expensive web developer agency.
