I find it very intuitive and quick to use **What do you dislike about Poedit?** It has much less functionality than other CAT tools and is less common among the agencies I work with **What problems is Poedit solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ease of use allows me to meet the demands of customers who prefer this tool to other translation platforms, without having to waste time learning complicated features ### 2. WordPress integration is a great add-on. **What do you dislike about Poedit?** At the price that the software has, if you really use it, there isn't much to comply about... As we're in 2023, maybe to integrate IAs to improve translation... If you really to PO files, it's a great app at a great price (even free is useful). **What problems is Poedit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Translation of WP sites (plugins and themes), and SaaS web apps which uses .PO/.MO files in a simple way, without involving the technical team (by translation I mean modifying existing translations and creating new ones). ### 3. Poedit simplifies the process and lets you work with standard formats and build incremental translations for different languages. **What do you dislike about Poedit?** Some features are only available in the pro edition. I guess they have to make money in some way. Any way, free edition is still very good. **What problems is Poedit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Working with and developing WordPress and WooCommerce templates and plugins requires building, correcting and even adding translation files. Poedit simplifies the process of working with .pot and .po files. ### 4. Pedit makes the process way more straightforward and integrates well with WordPress. **What do you dislike about Poedit?** You must pay for the pro edition to use some features. As a web developer, Poedit is not a tool I use everyday, so the pro edition price seems expansive. **What problems is Poedit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Poedit to handle .po, .pot and .mo files for WordPress and WooCommerce plugins and themes. When I first used it, I had never used an editor for translating and not only Poedit did th job, but made me got familiarized with translation tools. **What do you dislike about Poedit?** It is difficult for me to decide on something I do not like about Poedit. Apart from PRO options which are available freely on other CAT tools. **What problems is Poedit solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me do the job right and fast. I help projects translating them and reviewing existing translations and it is just friendly on the task. It is easy to find all of them in poedit and to add it. It is also fantastic that editor is giving me a tips about my translations. ### 7. Always helpful to convert the localisation file for all my custom wordpress plugins. **What problems is Poedit solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's difficult to manage the translations file and follow proper syntax to avoid issues, With POedit we can edit localization files easily and manage them without any issues. ### 8. Poedit was perfect for this and made the process so much easier. ### 9. A clear and simple User Interface allows you to hand-on immediately. WIth its Catalogs Manager, you can easily manage all your projects and spot the project status; update/Sync with form source files is another excellent feature, one-click can do the job done and prompts you if conflicts occurred, excellent error prevention method. The best part of them all, this app can be functioning offline! **What do you dislike about Poedit?** If it's a must to say something about "dislike," maybe the file converting tool is not embedded. And the paid Pro version pricing is a bit too high for personal/education use, given Poedit itself also received contributions from git and crowdin. **Recommendations to others considering Poedit:** Poedit offers a trial Pro version for a while, and you may continue to use the free version after the Pro version expired, features in the free version may already meet the requirement of users in general. Poedit allows you to manage memory files (tmx) separately to avoid confusing suggestions when translating. For those intermediate users, there are extractors features available, this may also benefit dev to extract the strings with no unknown errors or redundat symbols and characters. **What problems is Poedit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Poedit to translate files; some are for business use, some are for contributions to NPOs. Poedit help me manage these projects without falsely messing the files (lots of file naming aligned to its language name and may have the same file name), thanks to Catalogs Manager feature. ### 10. Also has integrations with other translation APIs such as Google Translate. **What do you dislike about Poedit?** Support is really awful. Their support guy is the founder who is always trying to criticize you. He thinks that he is smarter than everyone else and makes sure that you fell awful about any questions. **Recommendations to others considering Poedit:** Be aware this is not an enterprise product. Almost all website plugins are in english and to make it easier for my clients or myself, I like to translate or customize it. Even if you're not too technical, it is very easy to use. I used the free version for many years and lately, the paid pro version. I converted to pro for the automatic functions of massive translation, for time saving purpose. **What do you dislike about Poedit?** Even if it's a tool design for translation, the translation English -French is not fully accurate and you have to keep an eye on it. But the good thing, is that it's also community based, so you can share and help others. **What problems is Poedit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Translate plugins from English to French, like membership plugins, payments etc. ### 14.
