"A smooth and fruitful collaboration"
What do you like best about Plate Multisite?

Plate is a very responsive and intuitive platform. We are a 250+ volunteer organization, and the ease with which our volunteers were able to design the website and fill it with content was beneficial. Besides the final product, the process also went very smoothly. The project manager was easy to reach and had a proactive attitude. Also, we did not have to wait long for responses to our questions, and the devs and project manager were always eager to provide us with good advice.

In short: working with Plate was a pleasant experience! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plate Multisite?

Plate leaves room for a personal design by using so-called 'building blocks.' Once these blocks are designed, there is little room to further edit these blocks. So you have to think carefully before agreeing on the different blocks' layout. Otherwise, the project will soon become more expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A user-friendly CMS for end users and developers"
What do you like best about Plate Multisite?

Plate is easy to use. It puts content first. In-context editing makes the process of editing content very intuitive, even for non-technical users. What I like about Plate is that this does not (or hardly) negatively impact the amount of control a theme developer has over the output of the site in the frontend. It strikes a very nice balance there.

Another strength of Plate is that modeling content is very easy and intuitive. It combines flexibility and structure in a very nice way, which makes it quite easy to get productive quickly.

The system is strongly oriented towards multisite environments, which is very helpful in larger organizations. Themes are developed in the cloud, which makes sure there is always one source of truth. Changes in a master theme can be propagated to all child sites with a single click.

Support from Plate is personal, helpful and fast. No matter how stuck I got, I was always able to get going again within a few hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plate Multisite?

Plate is still a relatively new system, developed by a small company. In some areas, it misses some maturity. The documentation can be improved upon, especially for developers who are completely new to the system. The system is not hard to use, but the barrier of entry is higher than it could be because of the lack of beginner docs.

As mentioned, theme development is done in the cloud with the help of a sync tool. This works well most of the time, but it can be hard to debug issues, especially since the tools the system offers for this are quite limited. It also means that every single change a theme developer makes to a file needs to be uploaded by the sync tool before it is visible. This works well, but it always takes some time. During the span of a project, this can become a significant chunk of precious time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Nice to have that freedom from Plate CMS"
What do you like best about Plate Multisite?

The nice thing about Plate is that you can do a lot yourself, without needing someone from Plate. That gives you freedom and allows you to switch quickly. And if you do need Plate, they respond quickly and helpfully. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plate Multisite?

Because you can customize and change so much yourself, you also have many options and opportunities to customize something. If you just start with the CMS it takes some getting used to. Where do you need to be for which building block or part of the site. On the other hand, any new system always takes some getting used to, so that's part of the job. "Plate is an awesome, simple to use and easy to understand CMS"
What do you like best about Plate Multisite?

The ease of use, great customer support and speed of the CMS is awesome. I really enjoy working in the backend of our website when using Plate! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plate Multisite?

I can't think of anything, of course getting to know a new CMS is always a hurdle but with the excellent support from the team at Plate, and the easy to use backend this was the first time a had a pleasant experience while using a new CMS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great CMS for complex multi-content purposes"
What do you like best about Plate Multisite?

Plate is extremely strong in content management in multi-channel CMS environments. It's super flexible to scale up and very user-friendly. It gives you the freedom to manage content and publish to multiple websites, apps or portal environments, and you're really in control of your content and website, without any boundries.

I've used multiple CMS throughout my career, including WordPress, Umbraco, Hubspot, Sitecore and others, but would choose Plate above any, especially in case of any multi-language, multi-domain or both usages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plate Multisite?

The system is natively in Dutch and had to be translated to English since we're a global company and Plate is used by our teams across the world. When the label files where translated, all good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing CMS for our custom websites!"
What do you like best about Plate Multisite?

Plate is very user-friendly, and almost everyone at our office can work with this CMS. Next to that, we love the visual overview when working on our website. Thanks to Plate we can easily make adjustments on the frontend of the website. Couldn't been more straightforward! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plate Multisite?

We love everything about this CMS. The only thing we think can be more efficient is the way we can copy paste our vacancies. We need to adjust the titels manually in our text, so maybe in the future this could be automaticly generated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It's fresh, it's easy, it's Plate"
What do you like best about Plate Multisite?

We love the fresh look of our new website, it is designed to our needs and it is easy to use. Almost immediately it demonstrates what you have adapted and it shows a great overview of your page, tucking the tools neatly away. Making changes isn't hard to do because for the biggest part it works very intuitive, which I like for this is how I work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plate Multisite?

In the beginning, it took some getting used to working with the dashboard and how it related to the front end. Also, when having more experience with websites it is sometimes a pity that there is a part I cannot adjust myself. However, this keeps it accessible when you don't have much experience with CMS beforehand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast and flexible content management with ease"
What do you like best about Plate Multisite?

The way you can add and modify content is user friendly. In most headless systems you can only add content in the backend but Plate gives you the ultimate freedom to add content both via the dashboard (backend) or frontend (inline editing). You can work in the way you prefer, that’s what I like the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plate Multisite?

Nothing really pops up at this moment. I really like the system! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible and modern CMS"
What do you like best about Plate Multisite?

Very flexible CMS that works with the latest technology; web and API based. Lightning fast content editing within the website UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plate Multisite?

Not for users that want a no-code and app-based system like some of the well known CMS systems out there. But that's not what it wants to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Plate Multisite?

No code cms which is easy in use. I love the use of sections, columns and blocks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Plate Multisite?

There are not a lot of options of features to present content in a way I would like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
