Phixmo Reviews & Product Details

Phixmo is software built specifically for residential general contractors running 5 to 15 person crews. The platform was designed to fill a meaningful gap in the construction software market: enterprise tools target commercial builders, larger residential platforms target builders running 20+ projects per year, and smaller remodelers, kitchen and bath specialists, ADU builders, home addition contractors, and design-build firms have been stuck choosing between software that's too expensive, too complex, or too generic for the way they actually work. Phixmo solves that. One platform handles the full residential GC workflow with professional-grade tools at pricing built for crews that need real software without enterprise overhead. The platform is not built for: commercial construction, heavy civil, service trades (plumbing, HVAC, electrical-only), large production homebuilders, or solo handymen. Trying to serve everyone usually means serving no one well. Phixmo serves residential GCs deeply. Project Management and Job Costing Every active and completed job lives in a single project dashboard with real-time revenue, costs, gross profit, and margin per project. Cost breakdowns split materials, subcontractor, and labor automatically so owners can spot margin risk before it becomes margin loss. Daily logs and photo documentation tie field activity to the right project. Scheduling tools track milestones, dependencies, and crew availability. Budget alerts flag projects trending over their estimated cost before tax season makes the problem obvious. AI Blueprint Takeoffs Upload a project PDF and Phixmo's AI extracts measurements, surface areas, and component counts directly from the plans. What used to take an estimator 4 to 8 hours of manual counting and measuring becomes a 15-minute review of AI-generated quantities. Every output is editable, so estimators can refine the AI's measurements based on field knowledge and project-specific judgment. Phixmo's takeoffs are powered by Claude vision models from Anthropic, the same AI infrastructure used by enterprise software companies, but priced for residential crews. AI Text Estimation Type or paste a project scope description into Phixmo and the AI generates a complete labor and materials breakdown in seconds. Each line item includes the quantity, unit rate, and reasoning behind the estimate. Confidence ratings tell estimators which line items the AI is confident about and which need human review. Everything is editable, so the human estimator stays in control while the AI handles the heavy lifting on routine calculations. Branded Estimates and Contracts Send professional proposals and contracts with your company logo, colors, and signature. E-signature is built in, so homeowners can sign on their phone in seconds. The branded experience reinforces the professional image residential GCs want to project to clients without requiring separate document tools or third-party signing services. Templates can be saved and reused across similar project types to reduce proposal preparation time. Change Order Workflow Change orders are where small residential GCs typically lose the most margin. Phixmo's change order workflow generates COs from within the project, sends them for homeowner approval through either the customer portal or a tokenized email link, and tracks approval status until the homeowner signs. Dual-path approval means homeowners can approve changes from wherever they are, dramatically reducing the time between scope shift and billable change order. No more change orders that never get billed because nobody followed up. Customer Portal Homeowners log into the Phixmo customer portal to see project progress, read messages, review and approve change orders, and view and pay invoices. The portal dramatically reduces inbound phone calls and email about project status because homeowners can self-serve answers to most common questions. It also builds trust through transparency, which leads to better reviews and more referrals at project completion. AI Receipt Parsing Snap a photo of a supplier receipt with your phone and Phixmo's AI extracts the vendor, amount, date, and item categories, then assigns the cost to the right job and line item automatically. What used to be hours of manual data entry every week becomes minutes per receipt. Field workers can upload receipts the moment they make a purchase, so job costs stay current in real time rather than getting batched weeks later. Time Tracking with Geofence Field crews clock in and out from the job site through their phone. Geofence rules ensure clock-ins only register when workers are physically at the job site, preventing off-site or buddy punching. Hours flow automatically into job cost reports, so labor costs stay accurate without requiring office staff to chase down timesheets every Friday. Lead Pipeline Track every prospect from initial inquiry through closed deal. Know which lead sources are actually producing revenue, not just leads. Phixmo's lead pipeline integrates with the rest of the platform, so when a lead converts to a sold project, the customer information, scope, and pricing flow into project setup automatically without re-entering data. Ask Your Data (Natural Language Query) Ask questions about your business in plain English and Phixmo answers from your actual data. "Which job type had the best margin last quarter?" "How many days does my average kitchen remodel take?" "Which subs are slowing down my project completions?" No spreadsheet skills, no SQL queries, no dashboard configuration. Just type the question and get the answer. This is one of the most-used features by owners who want operational visibility without becoming data analysts. AI Project Summaries Automated summaries of project status, costs, change orders, customer communication, and risks. Catch yourself up on any active job in seconds without scrolling through weeks of activity. Particularly valuable for owners overseeing multiple projects who can't keep daily context on every job. Customer Reviews Post-project review collection is automated for every customer. Reviews build a verified reputation graph that compounds over time. The review system feeds into the planned lead engine, where homeowners searching for contractors can find Phixmo-using GCs by quality of work and customer satisfaction rather than how much they paid to advertise. Permit and Inspection Tracking Track which permits are pulled, which inspections are scheduled, and which are overdue. Stop losing days to paperwork delays that get caught at the wrong time. Particularly relevant for ADU builders and addition contractors who deal with extensive permit requirements. Workforce Management Crew assignments, sub performance tracking, and field-worker time visibility in one place. Owners and project managers can see who is working on which projects, identify scheduling conflicts before they cause delays, and track sub performance over time to know which trade partners are actually worth using on the next job. What makes Phixmo different? Built by an accountant who actually did the books for residential contractors. Most B2B software founders don't have hands-on experience in their target vertical. Phixmo's founder spent time keeping the books for a residential remodeler in San Diego before building the product, designing it around the specific operational patterns where small GCs actually lose money: unbilled change orders, manual takeoffs that eat half a day, receipts that never make it into job costs, and margin fade that doesn't get caught until tax season. All-in-one platform. Most residential GCs run their business across 5+ separate tools: spreadsheets for estimating, a separate takeoff tool, project management software, accounting tools, group texts for customer communication, and physical filing for change orders. Phixmo replaces all of it with one integrated system, eliminating the data sync problems and context-switching that consume operational time. Free seats for field workers on every plan. Most construction software charges per user, which means owners either pay enterprise prices to put the whole team on the platform or accept that only the office uses it. Phixmo gives every field worker free access on every paid plan, so the entire team is on the system without per-user pricing. Modern, AI-native design. Phixmo is built on Anthropic's Claude AI infrastructure. Construction software has historically been a category where the user experience lagged behind other industries by 10+ years. Phixmo is designed for the next generation of residential builders who expect their business software to feel as polished as the consumer tools they already use. Pricing built for residential crews. Three pricing tiers from $79 to $299 per month, with seats and feature gating based on company size and feature needs. No enterprise contracts, no per-document limits, no implementation fees. A 7-person crew can actually afford Phixmo without justifying enterprise software costs. 2-month free trial, no credit card required. Full access to every feature on whatever tier fits your business for 60 days. No trial limitations, no card on file, no surprise charges. Founding rate locks for the lifetime of the account. Built specifically for the residential vertical. Phixmo is not a horizontal tool trying to serve every industry. It's vertical SaaS built deep for one specific customer profile. That depth means workflows match how residential GCs actually work, terminology matches what crews actually say, and pricing fits how small construction businesses actually budget for software.
