What do you like best about Percona Server?

Percona Server for MySQL is a fully-compatible drop-in replacement of MySQL. It has all the features of MySQL enterprise edition for free and even more. Easy to set up a cluster and create backups without locking tables and downtime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Percona Server?

It supports the most popular Linux distros but I'm missing the Windows and OS X versions. It's a minor problem because there are official Docker images. Another small problem is that the Docker images are only for amd64 and there is no support for arm64 yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I did not find anything that I can place as dislike.

Of course, it is not the same as Oracle MySQL Enterprise Tools, etc, but 100% it is a good option if you want to have only support with free Enterprise Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Percona Server?

The best of the this software is that it is the great combination of SQL solutions with percona database management performance which actually enhances the system performance. The things that I liked the most are:

+ It works on the cloud basis and it is totally compatible with AWS, Google cloud, etc

+ You can get in and check the performance of the existing databases you have and provide solutions which will lead to better performance

1. Easy deployment - Initially used Postgres(Deployment - not very comfortable) 2. Easy to scale - even for a fresh graduate who hadn't put much thought into scalability while setting up the DB 3. Excellent, easy to understand logs - so that we know what's wrong and can fix it quicker Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Percona Server?

Possibly some more documentation(or rather, easier documentation) on teams migrating from other DBs, might be well appreciated Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You get enterprise features in community version software. Many MySQL enterprise features like audit plugin, some global variables are free in Percona server. Even many improvements in things like flushing, compression extended slow query logging exists Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software might have included monitoring agent that will be native to install and configure with PMM. Something like enable_monitoring() function instead of having to install agents and users for monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
