## About PayOk
PayOk is an ecommerce payment gateway operated from Spain by PayOk Financial Services, S.L., an authorised payment institution registered with and supervised by the Bank of Spain — a status held by fewer than a hundred companies in the country. That authorisation is not a formality: it carries capital requirements, client fund safeguarding and solvency controls that technical intermediaries operating under a third party's licence are not subject to. For an online merchant it determines who is accountable for their money while it is in transit. PayOk offers REST API integration and plugins for the main ecommerce platforms, with a control panel, real-time transaction monitoring, refund management and reconciliation. As a regulated entity it operates under PSD2, with strong customer authentication and client fund protection. Where PayOk differs from the large international platforms is support: instead of self-service and chatbots, every merchant gets a named account manager and assistance in three languages.
