"Parrot OS at the Workplace"
What do you like best about Parrot Security OS?

I find Parrot Security OS well-optimized for penetration testing and digital forensics. The pre-installed suite of tools from Metasploit to Aircrack-ng saves a lot of setup time. Its lightweight nature compared to other security-focused distributions allows me to deploy it on virtual machines without compromising performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parrot Security OS?

After using Parrot Security OS daily in a corporate setup for two years, one thing I’ve noticed is that it sometimes feels like it’s built more for solo ethical hackers than for team-based enterprise environments. For example, collaboration tools or integration with enterprise SIEM platforms like Splunk or QRadar aren’t smooth out of the box. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lightweight, Fast, and Packed with Powerful Security Tools"
What do you like best about Parrot Security OS?

Lightweight and Snappy Performance.

Unlike some other specialized security distributions that can feel a bit heavy and sluggish, Parrot OS is incredibly lightweight. This means it runs really well on older laptops, virtual machines, and systems with modest hardware.

It comes pre-loaded with a massive and well-organized array of tools for penetration testing, digital forensics, and reverse engineering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parrot Security OS?

Finding a quick fix on forums or comprehensive, step-by-step tutorials can be more challenging. While the official documentation is good, the sheer volume of community-generated solutions is lacking, making the learning curve steeper for beginners or when dealing with complex configurations.

While it's generally stable, in my experience, Parrot OS can occasionally suffer from more package dependency issues or breakages after major system updates compared to, say, Kali Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Parrot Security OS?

What I like best about Parrot Security OS is the balance between performance and security. It comes preloaded with a wide range of penetration testing and forensic tools, which saves a lot of setup time. The system feels lightweight and runs smoothly even on modest hardware. I also appreciate the strong focus on privacy features like sandboxing and secure browsing, which makes it a reliable choice for security work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parrot Security OS?

What I dislike about Parrot Security OS is that sometimes updates break small things and I have to fix them manually. Hardware support can also be hit or miss, especially with Wi-Fi drivers. It’s packed with tools, which is great, but it can feel a bit cluttered when I only need a few of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review Parrot"
What do you like best about Parrot Security OS?

Parrot OS provides a user-friendly experience with a clean, intuitive interface tailored for security professionals and enthusiasts. While its implementation is moderately straightforward, it is best suited for those who already have some familiarity with Linux, as setup and configuration can be somewhat technical. The customer support is mainly community-based, which means assistance is generally available, though it may not offer the benefits of official, dedicated support channels. Parrot OS is intended for regular use in security testing and privacy-oriented tasks. Its seamless integration with a broad array of security and privacy tools stands out as a strong point. Additionally, it comes equipped with a variety of features aimed at penetration testing, maintaining anonymity, and ensuring secure communications.

The customer support is excellent Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parrot Security OS?

You need technical and cyber security knowledge as it is not a product for everyone and can be complex Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
