Unfortunately, my experience has been entirely negative. Support is effectively non-existent and completely unresponsive. The UI is not accessible and, frustratingly, prompts me to reconfirm my personal details, my address specifically, every time I log in. The service they provide is faulty and fails to accomplish the requested task. The pricing would be reasonable if the service actually worked, but it does not. I requested a copy of my highschool transcript and immunization record on June 15, 2026. I received an illegible copy of my immunization record and opened a support request that had way too many layers of bad AI support. I requested a re-scan and they replied: Thank you for contacting Member Support. I am so sorry to hear that there is an issue with your document! Please note that Parchment operates as a storefront and a secured third-party delivery service. We can only deliver the exact documents that your school creates, as we do not manage or store student data and academic records. Regrettably, we are unable to update or alter the contents of your credentials at any point on our end. If there are any issues or errors concerning your document or academic records, you will need to reach out directly to your sending school to get this resolved, since they are the ones who produce and provide those documents to us. Thank you so much for your understanding, and please let us know if you have any other questions. Have a great day! Best Regards, So I guess they can't request the re-scan unless I pay them again. The fact that they don't track what you order or guarantee that it will be delivered is a big issue. They are supposed to solve the problem of delivering a product (Transcripts) for the customer...but they don't do that as it is not tracked or guaranteed that it actually happened. What do you dislike about Parchment? I don't like that if I upload a roster, but the student has a Hold. 1 year later, the Hold is lifted. I want to be able to update the mailing address of the Diploma before I release the Hold. We have been noticing Diplomas being printed crooked. I was aware of 5 out of 172 from August 2024 Graduation. Transcript orders have the green check mark, everything matches the student record, but the order is not fulfilled. Whether it is an issue with an order or a request for an enhancement, the response time and quality of answer has been prompt and thorough. We have quarterly meetings with our account manager. These meetings allow us to discuss any challenges we are having with Parchment processing. Because our account manager is from a Registrar background, they are able to understand our workflow and provide insights on using Parchment products. What do you dislike about Parchment? While it sounds petty, the short amount of inactivity time before being logged off is an annoyance. As someone from a small school with many interruptions, constantly logging in is cumbersome. The staff at Parchment is so kind and very responsive. Usually when I have to contact them it is because I have made an error and i need their help to fix it. We have been a partner with Parchment for almost two decades. We started using them to assist with our transcript services and have been pleased with their services to the institution, staff, and, most importantly, our students. Using their platforms has been easy over the years and continues to improve with innovations as Parchment embodies the philosophy of continual improvements and innovation. Our students also prefer and enjoy the single sign-on through their campus to access their credentials. However, the most significant impact is the 'wallet-style' approach to credentialing, where students can access their credentials from all institutions (Parchment schools) without having to log into each institution. This is incredibly useful for alumni and transfer students. Finally, their customer support, or rather customer care, is top-notch! The account managers are responsive, proactive, and supportive in hearing and relaying the needs of the member organizations. New features and upgrades can present challenges for institution implementation. The ease of the product and when changes are needed, they respond in an adequate amount of time. As far as the Diploma service, I love that our students are able to get a digital diploma for their use for electronic submissions. What problems is Parchment solving and how is that benefiting you? Decreased time in ordering, packeting and mailing diplomas. These used to be in-house before my tenure and when I arrived, we immediately moved this process to Parchment. This has cut down our time to get diplomas mailed, staff workload decreased and a much more professional face to our diplomas. Transcript ordering used to be handled in-house with the hassle of walking payment to our business office for each order so making the change to Parchment allowed all of these transactions to be done online with no involvement of our business office.
