## Parallax Reviews
 ### 1. Reliable Project Spend and Resource Management with CRM Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sven L. | Director of Program Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

I find the resource management / allocation functionality of Parallax beneficial, and we heavily use the project features across all of our engagements. I like how it connects with HubSpot CRM, giving our delivery team a heads-up on upcoming projects, avoiding the shock of sudden projects. The insights and reports are also helpful for our management team, providing quick access to summaries, roll-ups, and KPIs without the hassle of spreadsheets or Jira exports. I appreciate how easy the initial setup was, mainly requiring our team to learn the resource management tools. The native Jira time log integration has been extremely reliable too. Overall, these features make managing teams much easier.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Sometimes the permissions configurations are a little bit unclear - for example we might not be able to see very easily whether a certain user has access to certain features without doing a real test ourselves.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Parallax to spot resource conflicts easily, manage spend quickly without spreadsheets, and connect with HubSpot CRM for early resource planning.

 ### 2. Essential for Data-Driven Resource Planning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Polly N.

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

I find Parallax incredibly easy to use, which significantly streamlines my workflow. The integrations with platforms like Hubspot and Harvest are seamless, allowing me to leverage the tools our team already uses without any extra hassle. The incredible support from the team behind Parallax, especially from Madison during the onboarding process, made transitioning to this platform effortless. Huge shoutout to Susan, who is always available to resolve any issues, whether big or small. I love the smart technology in Parallax, which is superbly augmented by real human support, making it feel like the tech is truly powered by an awesome team of people. Additionally, I appreciate how Parallax allows me to manage resource planning and forecasting without needing to manually input new sales leads, utilizing pre-made templates for quick project shaping and informing the sales team. This efficiency boost is something I didn't experience with our previous platform, Harvest Forecast app, which lacked the comprehensive data that Parallax provides.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

I am eager to see the AI integration to support our daily operations, which is currently missing. I would appreciate having a Ctrl+Z feature to undo actions, and a version history feature would be beneficial for tracking changes. Additionally, I would like the calendar functionality to allow moving time both forward and backward, not just forward. It's important for me to set a monthly retainer budget and track it on a monthly overview as opposed to just by the project's duration.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Parallax for resource planning, forecasting, and tracking utilization and profitability. It provides data-backed insights, helps forecast hiring needs, facilitates course corrections on projects, and integrates seamlessly with existing tools, making operations efficient and data-driven.

 ### 3. From chaos to clarity: A true game-changer for agency operations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax has become our operational backbone. It finally gave us a single source of truth for forecasting, utilization, and financial planning. Our account leads can see in real time how their staffing plans connect to margins and revenue targets, and our leadership team can scenario plan with actual data instead of spreadsheets and guesswork. The implementation and on process was thoughtful, the customer success team is super responsive, which made adoption easier than expected. It’s also flexible enough to grow with us as we shift into a pod-based model, which has been critical for managing shared resources across teams.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

There’s still some friction when trying to pull advanced analytics directly in-platform like multi-scenario comparisons often need to be built outside of Parallax. I’d love to see deeper customization of reports and a simpler way to roll up data across pods or business units.

Additionally, the financial models can feel rigid at times if the way you do budget management doesn't exactly align with Parallax's definitions (e.g. we calculate burn from billable rates, not blended rates). We're keen to see more flexibility in how overhead and blended rates are handled, and better visibility into project-level profitability based on the way a lot of agencies do budget management.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Parallax, we were juggling multiple tools and spreadsheets to track resourcing, utilization, and budgets. Forecast data was often out of sync with actuals, and we spent too much time trying to understand what had already happened instead of planning for what’s next.

Parallax solved that by centralizing all our project, resourcing, and financial data in one place. It gives us forward-looking visibility into capacity, hiring needs, and contractor spend, so we can make faster, smarter decisions. It’s helped us shift from reactive reporting to proactive planning, and allowing our team to spend less time reconciling the past and more time shaping what’s ahead.

 ### 4. Organizing our data so we can make good decisions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel F. | Head of PMO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Removing all that manual and duplicated work we had to perform, not only saving time, but lowering risks of errors when working with our data.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

I don't see a downside yet, but we decided not to use the timesheet tool due to it's good integration with Harvest.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had some issues in our process due to having to duplicate information that was in HubSpot to Harvest.
We used Forecast and didn't see much value from the tool, we had to manually export data and build spreadsheets to check and report utilization, and never actually had a good way to verify how much of that forecasted allocation became real.

With Parallax we just create the deal in HubSpot and on the right time, it becomes a real project in Parallax and in Harvest. With the shapes we can predict our utilization, and as it goes, we can check how much of that prediction is actually true. It helps better manage teams, predict if we'll need to hire, or move deals further in the timeline.

 ### 5. Pragmatic and wise element within our planning structure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gustavo V. | Digital Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Before Parallax I used to draft my planning with Spreadsheets, the problem with this approach is not matter what you'll always end up doing manual allocations that not only tend to have error but also tend to get outdated as you update other fields.

With Parallax you can always be at ease that every time you update the planning for a team member it'll always update its department. Not only in terms of hours or time as a resource but also to make and have accurate financial projections.

It has been easy to deploy within the organisation, allowing team leads to have more control in their structure and its team, therefore this translates into a more frequent usage as the insights info embedded help to make more smart decisions, therefore, more growth for the company.

As we use Harvest and Hubspot, ease of integration is key for us , thankfully parallax integrates with these two and syncs perfectly with boths platforms in an easy and fast way, so you don't have to worry about coding or troubleshooting to have it up and running.

In terms of support, in a positive way we haven't had to use it much as it flows very well, however in those scenarios where we have a doubt a reach costumer service, we always have a prompt and helpful response,

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

I wouldn't call downsides, but It'll be great to have some sort of mobile version to check all the info on the way.

It'll be great also if to have some sort of suggestions like given the history an user suggest allocations (time / budget) for that person.

Nothing major, but it'll be great in the future!

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to use spreadsheets anymore therefore I know that my info is always in sync with platforms such as Hubspot and Harvest. Giving ease of mind so I don't have to do that manual labor.

 ### 6. Getting Us Organized!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

The Design
I like the smart design of the product. For an agency like ours, Parallax was built by people who know our business and have infused that knowledge. (I appreciate the leadership team also mentoring us, not just on the product, but on their experience and best practices, which helped us from a process, standards, metrics and roles perspective) .

In addition to the design, the UX is great, and continues to improve with subsequent releases.

Finally, we are users of HubSpot and Harvest, both of which integrate natively with Parallax, which is great!!

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

The things I might have written here previously have all been addressed. Those things include ease-of-use in the Shaper, to easily drag hours/assignments, having multiple billing types on a single project, Notes in various places, etc. The Parallax team is responsive to those "little things" from a roadmap perspective, which we appreciate as well!

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Parallax has solved for a number of problems for us.

Forecasting Capacity - we can now see where we have gaps and opportunities over longer planning cycles.

Utilization - we can now have meaningful reviews of our pipeline and projects to boost our utilization. In addition, recommendations from the Parallax team regarding minimum allocations of team time to fundamentally avoid context switching has been super helpful.

 ### 7. Parallax Streamlines our Resource Planning & Improves our Planning Forecasts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcella W. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax is the unicorn of a software our team's been searching for and they have a great team behind a great product.

The advantages are countless, but several key benefits stand out:

Time efficiency: Our monthly workload has decreased significantly through automated resource planning, financial reporting, and forecasting processes.

Seamless tool ecosystem: We were delighted to discover a platform that works harmoniously with our existing toolkit. The integration with Asana, Toggl, and Salesforce are helpful.

Data visibility: The access to instantaneous reporting has transformed our hiring decisions and resource planning meetings.

Continuous evolution: The Parallax development team consistently enhances the platform with innovative features.

Responsive assistance: Their support specialists are quick to respond, accessible, and committed to resolving issues.

Customer-centric approach: The team actively solicits and appreciates user input, showing genuine interest in enhancing both their product and overall customer experience.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Looking back at our software evaluation journey, we'd definitely choose Parallax again. While we've encountered some minor issues worth mentioning for potential buyers, they haven't diminished our overall satisfaction.

The onboarding process required significant effort, but the Parallax representatives provided exceptional support throughout. Their team conducted regular check-ins and connected us with the appropriate specialists to ensure a streamlined transition.

Since adoption, we've occasionally encountered data inconsistencies and functionality quirks. However, the support team consistently delivers prompt responses and effective solutions when these issues arise.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time efficiency - Parallax saves our team significant time by automating critical reporting metrics that previously required manual processing.
Revenue tracking - The platform allows us to track revenue goals by team, providing better visibility into performance and accountability.
Resource management - Parallax enables us to manage resources effectively while planning ahead, optimizing our allocation and utilization.

 ### 8. Solid Planning Tool w/ Incredible Customer Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric T. | Sr Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

The UI feels modern and engaging compared to many competitor tools we considered. The analysis is reasonably customizable with tags, filters, etc. Since adopting Parallax, it has been significantly easier for us to visualize our team's upcoming project allocations, utilization, and revenue actualization. Overall it's delivered a ton of value for our business.

My biggest praise for Parallax is the customer service. Their team has been incredibly responsive and flexible, actually taking the team to gather customer input, even live on occasion, and folding it into the next iteration of the product. The Parallax team has been a pleasure to work with as we've rolled Parallax out across our organization.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Bugs and analytical anomalies pop on with some regularity and erode trust with our business users, particularly on the reporting side. The Parallax team is great about resolving them quickly, but it has made adoption harder on my end. Ultimately willing to accept this for the benefit of agile iteration and flexibility though.

The API could be more robust. Currently read-only and does not provide access to many of the foundational tables (people, rate cards, etc).

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility into team allocation across projects, planning to make room for pipeline allocations, understanding team utilization.

 ### 9. Parallax replaced my Resource Management spreadsheet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MJ D. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

I am MJ Davis, CTO of a Professional Services organization focused on implementing and customizing Salesforce.

We have a fair number of consultants who are deployed on customer engagements inside of projects, augmenting customer teams, or in managed service packages. Resource forecasting, role definition, and capacity planning are critical functions of my business. For six years we had been using an old shared Google Drive spreasheet and our own SF-CRM to manage our pipeline and resource assignments. This was fine when we all fit in the same room. As we scaled, the data entry and accruacy of our resource meetings began to wear poorly.

We conducted an assessment of Resource Management tools. Parallax was up against Kantata, some Appexchange packages, building it ourselves, or some other niche resource tools. The straightforward composition of Parallax and the accessibility of the team made the difference for us. Each other solution wanted to replace other tools that we had in place for timesheets and invoicing in order to put everything under one roof to make their features work. Parallax had out-of-box support for the tools we already used. This is specifically about Harvest and Salesforce support.

The implementation of Parallax has closed the pipeline accuracy our deal's impact on resourcing from ~5 days to same-day accuracy. Our Sales team members and Operations leaders each use their own tool to collaborate on the same set of data between the SRM tool and our CRM. This is had a material impact on the agility of Digital Mass.

Adoption and implementation of the software is one dimension. Changing your team's process to have a good cadence is another. At Digital Mass we had some of the resourcing ritual meetings in place already, which made it easy to adopt the recommended cadence. In the case that your organization has not done this, the Parallax team walks organizations through this.

I am a fan of the software and the team.

_MJ

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Parallax straddles an interesting software position between CRMs and back-of-house operation systems. It takes a little time to work with the team and through the documentation to gain the philosophy of where data should be housed. There is a scratch to jam as much as you can into the elastic areas of Parallax like Tags and Notes. It is better to think carefully about what you are trying to solve for.

I would like more transparancy and control of the ingregration and implementation process. Afterwards I understood the exercise in mapping my consultants in CRM and in Harvest in order to make them the same resources in Parallax.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Parallax is replacing a set of CRM and Spreadsheet artifacts and features in an application. Our normal weekly growth meetings(Sales), pre-resourcing(only Operations), and resourcing(Operations & Sales) now take place in this software.

 ### 10. Great support!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon K. | Director of Revenue, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Looking at the market, there were a lot of tools to give us better insight into utilization forecasting from Harvest data. What makes Parallax stood out are the people behind it. Throughout the sales process, implementation, support and success, we have felt supported and confident in relying on this system to transform our business. The tool exceeds our requirements and continues to improve but the people there supporting us are the best!

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

We are always looking at more granular ways to filter through data and every system has room for improvement here. That said, there are more reports OOTB than we need and we are working to leverage those a lot better for our business now.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary purpose is to provide better visibility into forecasting utilization. Parallax does this in spades and has impacted utilization, hiring, resource management, and strategic decision making in our business.

 ### 11. Parallax Review – A Game-Changer for Resourcing & Planning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabella M. | Studio Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

We recently adopted Parallax at GreenHouse Agency (February 2025), and while we’re still in the early stages, it’s already proving to be a valuable tool for resourcing and planning. It’s helping us forecast workload for new clients, ensuring we take on projects at the right time and even plan ahead for hiring needs.
Ease of Use & Onboarding:
There was a slight learning curve in integrating Parallax with our existing project management tool, but the onboarding process was outstanding. Maddie and the Parallax team were incredibly supportive, answering all our questions and helping us tailor the tool to fit our agency’s unique needs.
Key Features & Performance:
One of the most useful features is the ability to view workload across projects for each team member and department. This high-level visibility makes resource allocation much more strategic. Since we just started using Parallax, we’re still assessing long-term performance, but so far, it’s been stable and effective.
Would We Recommend It?
Absolutely! Whether you’re a small or large agency, Parallax offers the flexibility to scale resourcing and planning in a way that suits your needs. The ability to shift between high-level and detailed reporting views has already provided us with better insights into our capacity and workload management.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

There isn’t much we dislike, but we did have to integrate Harvest with ClickUp for time tracking to ensure capacity is accurately reflected. While not a huge issue, it added an extra step to our workflow.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Parallax is helping us better forecast workload and capacity, ensuring we take on new clients and projects at the right time without overloading our team. Before, we lacked a clear, real-time view of our resourcing, making it harder to plan ahead. Now, we can proactively manage workload distribution, anticipate hiring needs, and align our team’s capacity with incoming work. This has made our planning process more strategic and efficient, reducing guesswork and improving overall resource allocation.

 ### 12. Excellent Onboarding and Integration Process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

We came to Parallax in 2024 looking for new software options since our contract was expiring with Kantata. Our experience with Parallax has been a breath of fresh air. Every person we met with was thoughtful and knowledgable about the product and the issues we were having with our tool set. Maddie, our CSR, has helped us through every step of the way and made sure any bumps we ran into were solved in a way that met our immediate needs. We were able to get up and running within PX in less than 2 months during the holiday season and fairly easily import our 3 years of historical data. The team has found the tool easy to use and was thankful for an easy onboarding and integration process.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

There are a few features that we have requested and are hoping to see delivered in the relative short term. While they weren't business critical features they would help us better utilize the system in a way that better meets our organizational needs.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplified process, improved reporting, increased visibility

 ### 13. Parallax Brought Sanity to Resource Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick M. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax brings an absurd level of visibility across our entire agency as it relates to operations and finance - without requiring an undue amount of input/effort.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

It's expensive for what it is as a platform - that expense is easy to accept when you're also engaged with PX's excellent professional services team but once you're fully onboarded and self-sufficient the cost feels high.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Parallax gives us excellent at-a-glance (as well as in-depth) visibility into past and future resource utilization and revenue. Those are our two primary uses of it. Keeping that data accurate is spread across a number of personnel (by design) helping with adoption of the tool and broader visibility.

 ### 14. Parallax is a game changer for Resource Management and beyond

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valerie H. | Senior Project Coordinator, Banking, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax takes our resource management information and turns it into insights that can be used for actionable change in our organization. From forecasting resources (based on active projects & pipeline deals) to forecasting financials - and monitoring utilization, Parallax pulls it all together and from just a few weeks in was already providing data that we started to make business decisions based on.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Every organization operates a bit differently. Parallax is taking commonalities across professional services organizations to build their platform. That means - it's not always going to match up to exactly what you have in your spreadsheet formulas or the way that your company does business. You may have to make some adjustments to the way your organization operates - or you'll have to decide whether your way is better and not use Parallax for that piece. With that being said, Parallax is EXTREMELY open to feedback and has made several adjustments based on the feedback that I've provided and we've been with them for less than a year.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, we had a problem seeing our team members project dedications. There is a difference between task management and resource management. We've tried a few different softwares and overall Parallax has hollistically provided the best platform and insights. We're taking our resource management data to track utilizations, forecast hiring and revenue. First and foremost, we needed resource management in an easy to use system. That just scratches the surface of the information and insights that Parallax can provide. Now we're digging deeper into the way that we track our team member projects and contributions to further drill down into how our team members can be the most effectively utilized.

 ### 15. Great onboarding process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

The Parallax team have been excellent partners to us, taking in feedback, explaining nuances, and training our team. They've helped us better resource our projects and unlock so much data we previously hadn't utilized. Implementing Parallax feels like a big step forward for our team!

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

The tool is so in-depth, which is great, but requires a lot of onboarding and training to get our full team on the same page of how we use it.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our problem was that we lacked quality data on actual time spent on projects, and that we weren't planning out resources time on a weekly basis.

Parallax helps us be more proactive and ensure we're resourcing correctly and pricing projects correctly.

 ### 16. Informative platform that supports decision-making process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dmytro S. | project manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax provides clear and comprehensive data about operations within the company which fully covers the need for information at different levels for different groups of stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Sometimes I feel that the possibility to lave comment in particular area on the platform will enhance user experience.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Parallax solves the problem of allocation limited resources within the company based on priorities

 ### 17. In Depth Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax allows us to see details about employee time that were previously unavailable and allows us to plan ahead for future growth.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

The app could use some UX design help - it has a lot of functionality but is not always the easiest app to clearly see the information available because of the way it is organized.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Parallax helps us see how our team's time is being utilized and also overlays this with our sales pipeline to see what staffing changes we might need to account for in the future.

 ### 18. Changes the way you'll think about planning work!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meredith M. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax is really easy to use for the most part. I love how seamlessly it integrates with Harvest time tracking and can create reporting and data based on that information.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Would love for the financial reporting to be more robust. Adding in an integration with QuickBooks for example would be a game-changer!

Also, a lot of the financial reporting basically reflects like a T&M engagement, assigning revenue to the hours an employee or department has conttributed to a project, which isn't always an accurate representation of the data at our organization.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Parallax has opened our eyes to see the profitbaility that we could be leaving on the table through under utilizing employees and areas where we are too detailed in our planning that we miss opportunities to allocate our rescources directionally for the most impact on our projects. I love that I have real-time insights to see the Health of all our projects which faciliates conversations how to improve our projects before its too late - we're over budget or timeline is past.

 ### 19. Basic user for a small comms agency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

High level project views and data aggregation.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

User interface and functionality can be a bit clunky, requiring a number of clicks.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking project hours and budgets for individuals and teams.

 ### 20. Simplifies resource planning and forecasting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruce M. | Chief Operations Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax excels not only in resource planning and forecasting but also as a collaborative partner. Their team is incredibly supportive and proactive, always seeking feedback to enhance the platform and ensure success for their users. The integrations with Harvest and Hubspot are game changers and make tracking projects through the full project lifecycle much easier.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Being such a robust tool there is a significant learning curve to setting it up and using it properly. The interface isn’t always intuitive and occassionally it suffers from performance issues when requesting large amounts of data.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 21. On year 2 with no plans of leaving

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah A. | VP Client Engagement & Growth, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

I love that it provides detailed hour plans for my team members who share their time across several projects and client accounts.

From a management standpoint it's amazing being able to project our costs and revenue to this detailed level and explore the potential profitability (or lack of) on potential projects. We've been able to using the hiring forecast to more confidently decide when to hire vs when to pull in a temporary contractor as well.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Its a very powerful and robust tool, which I LOVE. It can be a bit overwhelming to master all the nuences and how best to utilize the reporting.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Predicitng revenue, costs of project, and profitablity, hiring forecasting and doing a better job of resource management on a smaller team juggling several client accounts and projects.

 ### 22. Transforming Tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colleen L. | Director of Delivery, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax has been a great tool for our small consulting organization. The tool has transformed how we resource our team to projects and review utilization. The ability to see and manipulate our revenue forecast based on the pipeline of work has brought much needed visibility across the leadership team.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

I would like more customizable reporting and better representation of the budget on projects.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to easily shape out a potential project, view who is available with the right skill set and visualize my cost and revenue projections.

 ### 23. Great platform and team. Requires organizational maturity to gain full benefit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax is an excellent platform for capacity forecasting and resource planning. The tool provides a level of insight that we previously did not have or had to obtain from spreadsheets. The Parallax team is committed to our success and provides proactive support to help us grow.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Getting the full benefit of Parallax may require more effort than you're anticipating. We onboarded with Parallax when many of our Sales, Project Management, and Operations processes were less mature. Getting the benefit of Parallax required investment in our processes and people. Ultimately, I think this is a benefit of the platform, though an unexpected one that you want to be prepared for.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving our resource planning, forecasting, and focus.

 ### 24. My parallax experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Being able to see employee assignments. Current state of the budget as well. I think the change log was a big win. I use it with Harvest. Not sure what it's competitor is.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

Har to find help resources.
Video tutorials
Billable vs. non-billable hours - Parallax doesn't call that out
the help desk is very helpful but it would be better if you could learn from the tool when onboarding

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Planned vs. Actual hours
Very easy to see what is over/under for budget
Maybe? it's easy to see utilization
Yes, I'm more productive
It is more transparent - easy to see budget/hours

 ### 25. Parallax is helping our company take the next step in our growth.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad S. | Vice President, Business Process, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Parallax?**

Parallax has helped enforce a greater degree of data validity across our sales, delivery, and finance operations. The team at Parallax have been great partners in helping us get up and running and also refine the product to our specific needs.

**What do you dislike about Parallax?**

There can be some growing pains within your company as individual have to re-orient their work to how Parallax functions. Parallax is very focused on agile work practices…if you don't sell or think about your work that way, it might be challenging to adopt. We use Harvest for our time keeping—the way that Parallax connects to Harvest is a bit non-intuitive to the individual contributor. There isn't a 1-to-1 relationship between Parallax projects and Harvest projects. Now that we're up and running, this is really the only ongoing source of tension.

**What problems is Parallax solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have better and more reliable visibilty of how our sales pipeline may impact our talent needs. Previously, the data coming from our sales tool (Pipedrive) wasn't wrong, but it also wasn't completely aligned to how we would be using it in delivery. Parallax helped enforce consistency between sales and delivery. Also, our prior talent planning tools were functional, but straining under our increased growth. Parallax sets us up well for continued growth on a purpose-built platform.
