cryptact prices its crypto tax and portfolio software on an annual subscription basis, with tiers set mainly by how many transactions you have in a year. There is a permanently free tier, so users can import data and review calculations before deciding on a paid plan. Because one annual payment covers every fiscal year you upload, there is no separate fee per tax report.
The Free plan costs $0 per year and allows up to 30,000 transactions per year, but it is intended for trial and portfolio use. It includes the live portfolio view, Average Cost (ACB), FIFO, LIFO and HIFO cost basis methods, 200+ fiat pairs and 15 reporting currencies, coverage of 33,000+ cryptocurrencies, unlimited exchange and wallet connections, automated DeFi classification, NFT transaction support, custom transactions and custom file uploads, file uploads up to 50 MB, and AI integration through MCP and CLI. Downloading ledger summary and tax summary reports are not included in the Free plan.
All paid plans add permanent data retention along with downloadable ledger summaries and tax reports for every fiscal year, which is the main difference from the Free plan. The transaction tiers below therefore refer to the volume you can include in those downloadable reports.
The Basic plan costs $45 per year, or roughly $3.75 per month, and covers 300 transactions per year. Alongside the downloads above, it adds email support. It is designed as a low-commitment entry point for people filing crypto taxes for the first time, and at $45 a year it is one of the more affordable entry prices among established crypto tax tools, so new filers can start preparing a proper return without a large upfront cost.
The Prime plan costs $139 per year, or roughly $11.58 per month, and covers 2,000 transactions per year. It raises the upload file size limit to 200 MB and includes the auto-renewal discount, a loyalty discount for users who stay on Prime or a higher plan through automatic renewal. The discount applies from the second year onward, at 10% in year two, 15% in year three, and 20% from year four onward.
The Pro range is aimed at higher volume traders and adds a corporate fiscal year-end setting. Pro costs $249 per year for 10,000 transactions, Pro+ costs $369 per year for 50,000 transactions, and Pro Unlimited costs $469 per year with no annual transaction cap, subject to published conditions.
For users who are stepping away from trading for a while, cryptact offers a Data Retention plan at $29 per year, or roughly $2.42 per month, which keeps saved transaction data and calculation results in place without the full feature set.
Tax accountants, tax advisors, tax consultants and CPAs who calculate on behalf of clients require an Enterprise Account rather than an individual plan, and pricing for it is available on enquiry. A single Enterprise Account manages multiple client ledgers, with per-client calculation settings such as average cost or periodic average cost and corporate options including fiscal year-end month and year-end valuation gains and losses. More than 130 tax accounting and CPA offices use it.
Upgrades are available at any time by paying the difference after the remaining days of the current plan are deducted. Transaction history is permanently deleted 30 days after a paid plan expires and cannot be restored, so users who want to keep their data should remain on Basic or above or take the Data Retention plan. Payment is by credit card, including Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, JCB, Diners Club and Discover.
