What do you like best about OsiriX MD?

It is compatible with standard DICOM. It offers an open platform to develop image processing and post-processing tools in both 2D and 3D. Allows integration with any PACS system. It is also easy to install on any computer with WINDOWS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OsiriX MD?

The version downloaded for the mobile phone is only available for the Apple operating system, which means that those who do not have Apple mobile phones cannot use it.

The price is relatively high once the trial period is over.

I would like to see a version for ANDROID devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering OsiriX MD:

I recommend the trial period because you learn how to use it quickly. Then it is worth paying for the premium version because it has very innovative and useful tools for diagnostics.

It is also ideal for reducing time when the patient comes with a study from another institution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OsiriX MD solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows the doctors of our institution to visualize studies that were not performed at the sanatorium, which is beneficial for the patients since we avoid performing a new one and this allows us to advance in time for the diagnosis, and best of all, we do not subject the patient to radiation again.

What do you like best about OsiriX MD?

The best features of Osirix MD are displaying, reviewing, interpreting, and post-processing of the Dicom images.

Its LGPL licensing scheme, Transformation, and Image Processing Tools for 2D and 3D views are amazing.

3D rendering and Endoscopy perspective are very helpful during visualization.

Its Mode option for VR and MIP rendering.

Filter tool, sculpting 3D data, Image Fusion, and Presets are best in this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OsiriX MD?

The least likey feature about Osirix MD is its problem reporting feature, it should be more customized.

It gets frozen while handling and exporting large datasets.

The Dataset registration feature is missing.

The crop tool also requires modification.

We can not export to .ply, .stp,.inp and .msh and many more.

What problems is OsiriX MD solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using Osirix MD for medical image visualization, post-processing of MRI, CT data, and getting desired specific regions of interest output for customers. We solve problems related to Medical data visualization, 3D printing models, Image segmentation, analysis, and help customers in their workflow of medical image processing, Patient-specific Surgical planning report preparation, and in this Osirix MD helping us to get the desired result for satisfying clients. "Best Dicom to Digital Model Viewer OsiriX"

What do you like best about OsiriX MD?

The best thing about Osirix is that we don't require special hardware for this.

Its 2D, 3D Viewer, and plugin are very helpful for data visualization.

Iso contour feature is very useful for calculating mean and SUV sum and tlg of data.

Its compatibility with PACS server and High-quality visualizations with fast GPU rendering.

Its fluid zooming feature is very useful and we can import images from Dropbox, drive, and emails.

I also like its integration feature with Microsoft word and other software.

The 3D curved MPR viewer window and reporting feature are very useful during segmentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OsiriX MD?

The least likely feature about this tool is that we can not take measurements and there are no options or tools for the post-processing of datasets.

They should provide a quick access toolbar and it has less compatibility with micro CT Images and 4D Dicom images.

Dataset anonymization required some customization in selecting Dicom tags and removing Dicom tags.

They should provide a free reference or user manual to understand all features and tools of the software.

Metal artifacts and sigmoid filters tools are missing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OsiriX MD solving and how is that benefiting you?

In our organization, We are using Osirix MD for medical Dicom image visualization for research purposes and post-processing of MRI, CT data, surgical planning report generation, and in this, we found Osirix very user-friendly software and we also solve researchers' problems related to Medical images visualization, 3D printing models, Image segmentation, analysis, and help customers in their workflow of medical image processing, Patient-specific Surgical planning report preparation with the help of this software and some other software and in this Osirix MD helping us in getting the desired result. What do you like best about OsiriX MD?

The program is very easy to use, and has many features, It also makes really cool videos. I also like how I can work from links to the images rather than copy all the files to my computer, this saves tons of space on my Mac Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OsiriX MD?

Way too many software updates, I also wish it worked on more than just a Mac Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
