OWB is performance efficient especially when there is bulk data processing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

OWB mappings can't be reverse engineered from plsql code. OWB GUI is not very elastic hence there are scenarios when the MDL gets corrupted during developer interaction with owb mapping and thus it cannot be recreated back from plsql. You can argue to keep the OWB mappings in source control and pull it back when required. But trust me as i know certain projects which have not been able to maintain the source control and in absence of MDL they cannot even rely on the deployed plsql package in production. Result is they translate back from owb to hand written plsql.
