What do you like best about Oracle MDM?

The packaging of entire solution together. It is compatible with other ouaf products and easy to configure. There is a lot of help documentation available. All the programs can be easily understood from description and detailed description section. It provides much more information than existing oracle lodestar and rules language. What do you dislike about Oracle MDM?

Customisation of product to suffice business needs.

It can me more user friendly , the website looks and graphics can be more richer.

The support site should provide more videos to understand the rare skill. Currently there are only documentation available to solve the problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Oracle MDM:

Please refer the help section before starting to customisations, there are lot of out the box stuff available. please refer to existing batch jobs and algorithms. There is oracle support site which gives information about most of existing programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Oracle MDM solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am configuring the products as per the business needs.

It packages most of the business requirements and plug and play. The specific regulatory requirements can be customised easily. There can be more soft parameters available to the algorithms and batch programs to make them more configurable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle MDM?

What I like so far about this product is that it brings all data from different sources together into one place. This tool allows you to analyze all data in a manner that can be automated. Moreover, I think this product can be useful with one system integration projects that requires consolidating customer information from different source systems. The product then has the ability to analyze and help identify opportunities for cleansing or standardizations between different data sets to integrate into one system/company/customer. What do you dislike about Oracle MDM?

The Customer Data hub has limitations. Even though you have all the basic customer information, it does not pull transactional information that is critical for certain business decisions. Moreover, if you require transactional information for updates, then you lose the ability to update data and will require to go back to the original system for anything transactional. Recommendations to others considering Oracle MDM:

This product is a long term business solution so should align with the corporate long term strategies. Some features can only be used based on how clean your data is. The tool should not be used just for cleansing purposes or analytical purposes for a long term investment. What problems is Oracle MDM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Data management and data standardizations. The benefits are being able to pull all customer data to analyze and identify opportunities for standardization. It is also a great tool for cleansing reports and cleansing activities for some automated cleansing or automated standardization. Other area is prevention of duplicate records. This tool can help corporations solve their data governance needs and that has upstream effects that are momentous on a business! It will simplify ETL processes in parts of the business, it will also make communication more efficient by having all analysts and reporting users looking at the same combinations of data. For large enterprises running the Oracle stack, Oracle MDM is the natural MDM solution. Customer Hub provides value to virtually every industry and for product centric companies, product hub is a great add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
