Some of the other decent features are business process management capability, the match and merge function, the data quality and profiling aspects among other. With many out of the box options being available, it makes Oracle operationally easy to maintain gives more features out of the box, hence minimal customization is required. **What do you dislike about Oracle MDM?** Wish the oracle support site could provide with more videos to better understanding the product along with documentation. **Recommendations to others considering Oracle MDM:** It is a very simple to use tool especially creating lineage drag and drop is superb. **What problems is Oracle MDM solving and how is that benefiting you?** It caters well for Supplier data, customer data, item data, data relationship management etc. ### 4. Some reasons for my decision are that Stata code is less verbose/easier to pick up, it offers more packages, online documentation is clearer, a perpetual license is inexpensive, and the software is light and fast to start up and run. I still like and have SPSS, but it is no longer my statistics software of choice. **What problems is Oracle MDM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use SPSS to analyze data for research. Its GUI makes it easy for new users to pick up and analyze data. ### 5. Not pretty or exciting but it will get the job done. **What do you dislike about Oracle MDM?** Seem a little old school with the graphics but working is more important than appearance. **Recommendations to others considering Oracle MDM:** I can't think of anything to recommend at the moment about this software but it appears I need to type more of a review here with many words until my current review grade rating is enough for the scale to accept my survey as complete. Its very easy to navigate through it. Enter data, save and chNge answers if needed. **What do you dislike about Oracle MDM?** Nothing its a great platform to enter data and move from page to page. It works great and easy. I didnt feel the need to dislike anything, it has worked great for me. **What problems is Oracle MDM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Entering data easily and in a readable way. Its easy to understand, enter data and change things if needed. We are able to organize and keep our data structed with oracle. ### 8. It is compatible with other ouaf products and easy to configure. There is a lot of help documentation available. All the programs can be easily understood from description and detailed description section. It provides much more information than existing oracle lodestar and rules language. **What do you dislike about Oracle MDM?** Customisation of product to suffice business needs. It can me more user friendly , the website looks and graphics can be more richer. The support site should provide more videos to understand the rare skill. Currently there are only documentation available to solve the problem. **Recommendations to others considering Oracle MDM:** Please refer the help section before starting to customisations, there are lot of out the box stuff available. please refer to existing batch jobs and algorithms. There is oracle support site which gives information about most of existing programs. **What problems is Oracle MDM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am configuring the products as per the business needs. It packages most of the business requirements and plug and play. The specific regulatory requirements can be customised easily. There can be more soft parameters available to the algorithms and batch programs to make them more configurable. ### 14. This tool allows you to analyze all data in a manner that can be automated. Moreover, I think this product can be useful with one system integration projects that requires consolidating customer information from different source systems. The product then has the ability to analyze and help identify opportunities for cleansing or standardizations between different data sets to integrate into one system/company/customer. **What do you dislike about Oracle MDM?** The Customer Data hub has limitations. Even though you have all the basic customer information, it does not pull transactional information that is critical for certain business decisions. Moreover, if you require transactional information for updates, then you lose the ability to update data and will require to go back to the original system for anything transactional. **Recommendations to others considering Oracle MDM:** This product is a long term business solution so should align with the corporate long term strategies. Some features can only be used based on how clean your data is. The tool should not be used just for cleansing purposes or analytical purposes for a long term investment. The tool can help automate data standards as well as a control for data governance across different systems/modules/businesses. **What problems is Oracle MDM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data management and data standardizations. The benefits are being able to pull all customer data to analyze and identify opportunities for standardization. It is also a great tool for cleansing reports and cleansing activities for some automated cleansing or automated standardization. Other area is prevention of duplicate records. ### 15. Moreover, these products keep varying all the time with minute upgrades. Maintaining such a huge demography and variety in products is a huge mess and tedious process. MDM is not an easy solution to implement. It will require buy in at the executive level and more importantly an org wide commitment to standardize the master data.
