# How can I assess the financial stability and long-term support continuity of Oracle resellers before committing to a multi-year vendor contract?

And did support continuity actually hold across your multi-year Oracle contract?

Honestly this is smart to think about before signing multi-year, because a reseller going under or getting acquired mid-contract can strand your support. First, favor established, financially stable firms, the large public integrators like Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Wipro and Fujitsu have obvious staying power compared to a small boutique, though boutiques can still be fine with the right safeguards. Concretely, I'd ask for financial statements or evidence of stability, check how long they've held Oracle partner status and at what tier, and get references specifically about long-term support continuity. Then bake protection into the contract: clear SLAs, defined escalation paths, and terms covering what happens to your support if they're acquired or exit the practice. To be real, G2 reviews won't tell you about financial health, that's diligence you do directly. Is your bigger worry the firm's viability, or continuity of the specific team that knows your environment?
