"Oracle JDeveloper Makes Full-Stack Oracle ADF Development Much Easier"
4/5
What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

As a student, I initially struggle with building database driven applications and connecting the frontend and backend, managing database connections, writing queries, and integrating everything manually was time consuming and confusing. After using Oracle JDeveloper this improved a lot. It provides build in tools for database integration and development using Oracle ADF, which made it easier for me to create full-stack applications in one place. the UI and user experience feels outdated and slightly complex at first. However, performance is heavy! it requires a good system and can lag during large project. In terms of pricing and ROI, it's valuable in academic use since it exposes real world tools, though its relevance is mostly within the Oracle ecosystem. Talking about the support and onboarding were a bit challenging initially due to a steep learning curve, but you will get to it. AI/Intelligence features are limited compared to modern IDEs. Overall, it's a powerful for enterprise and people wants to work with a Oracle ecosystem Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

As a student, i found Jdeveloper quit heavy and slow, especially on a normal laptop. The UI feels outdated and confusing at first, which made onboarding difficult. It also has a steep learning cure, particularly when working with ADF. For small projects, it feels like overkill, and limited AI features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Tool for Java Development in the Oracle Ecosystem"
5/5
What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

If you are working on Java development with heavy database features, I would recommend this 200%, It is the best in this domain, Yes there are other similar tools but this for me was very helpful, especially on the deployment part i could easily reduce a lot steps that i would have genrally had to do with Oracle JDev, And other things I like are the tools for debugging they are matching the standard requirements and also Oracle JDev is best if you are on Oracle Ecosystem. What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

Now, although I love a lot of things about Oracle JDev, there are a few things which really should be improved first is when I started using I didn't feel it was beginner friendly I really found it complex on all the usage of the tools, but with time things were good. Also it is extremely heavy on the processor, if you computer doesn't have top notch specifications, you will definitely feel it is slow while using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

Oracle JDeveloper is most commonly used because it does not incur much expense for the bank, and that's why the bank's procurement team has adopted it. It is used as an integrated platform where we also get the database easily, eliminating the need to find or link a new specific database separately. We get it all in just one package. What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

This can be made more accessible. Its performance is somewhat more declared as compared to when we use Eclipse, etc. Sometimes, when we have to go to open source database POC, there is a bit of difficulty. There is also a part related to the UI that we can explore once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-In-One IDE with Outstanding ADF Support and Seamless Oracle Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

There are many aspects I appreciate about using JDeveloper. It offers excellent support for ADF development, and its debugging tools for Java, ADF, and SOA are very effective. The visual drag-and-drop feature for UI components makes designing interfaces straightforward. JDeveloper also provides a range of powerful built-in tools and integrates seamlessly with the Oracle stack. The database navigator and SQL worksheet are particularly useful, and having everything in one IDE is convenient. I find it easy to use, and implementation is straightforward, which helps reduce setup time and boosts productivity. Additionally, customer support is very strong; you can easily open a case with the Oracle Support team. I use JDeveloper frequently and it continues to meet my needs also easy of Integration . What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

The software has some performance issues, such as slow startup times and high memory consumption. Its release cycle is also quite slow. For optimal results, it seems to work best only within an Oracle environment. Additionally, it is not ideal for multi-cloud setups or for use with multiple databases. "I tried it & it is great"

What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

Honestly, my experience with ServiceNow Workflow Data Fabric has been pretty smooth overall. At first, I was a little overwhelmed because there’s a lot packed into it, but once I got the hang of things, it really started to click. The way it connects different workflows and data feels like such a game changer—you don’t realize how much time you’re wasting until something just flows like this. I’d say give it a shot. It definitely made my workload easier and saved me a lot of time. Also, the supporting team did a great job too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

Sometimes it feels a bit heavy and I wish the interface was a little more intuitive. But honestly, the pros outweigh the cons. It’s helped me cut down on manual back-and-forth, and that’s a huge relief in my day-to-day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
