What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

I had no trouble getting used to JDeveloper as a Java developer. The built-in support for Java EE and Java SE projects gave users a stable working environment. The code templates and clever code completion significantly increased my productivity.

The large toolbox of JDeveloper is one of its highlights. The entire development process is covered, from sophisticated code editors to practical debugging tools. Furthermore, it provides many declarative and visual tools that streamline UI design and database integration, saving time and effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

JDeveloper offers competent help for Java developers but has limited support for other programming languages. A more comprehensive range of language support might draw a more varied readership.

Operating JDeveloper can sometimes be resource-heavy, especially on machines with lower specifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"JDeveloper is an excellent solution to integrate JAVA with PL/SQL"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

I am a Oracle developer; the database is impressive in all aspect including the PL/SQL. PL/SQL is what makes this database the best on the market. When Oracle started with JAVA the development was complicated until they released the JDeveloper. The JDeveloper is a free IDE from Oracle that integrates Java and Oracle PL/SQL and other internet platforms like PHP into one powerful tool. The best feature of this IDE is that it covers the development lifecycle and includes an advanced debugging tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

One of the missing features is a automatization tool for code generating, with all the development lifecycle cover an automatization code generator is a next step on the evolution of the Oracle JDeveloper IDE. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

Actually I don't really like this IDE, it was the worst IDE I had to test for Java Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

Actually first of all it forced me to use an old JDK (1.6) while I had 1.8 by default so the library I was testing on, showed some issues in compilation with mismatch version of the JDKs. So I had to do some research to know how the ....I changed that, and well, I didn't even know how to compile and debug and a lot of wrong stuff with this IDE Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
