Completely satisfied with the tool, in future just hope to see them grow and expand the amount of the services they provide **Recommendations to others considering Opster:** I'd highly recommend using it as nowadays there are a lot of enterprises that use smart search, but unfortunately not a lot that provide a support to it, where Opster meets the criteria! Don't hesitate of using it as you'd work with professionals and extremely nice people at the same time! **What problems is Opster solving and how is that benefiting you?** Elastic search installation and configuration for the smart search. We had a few problems that made me come to opster, as so far they provide the best solution group for it ### 2. Recommended to other departments and also to other companies in the same field as me. **What do you dislike about Opster?** There’s always room for improvement. AutoOps is great and better than every other product I’ve seen out there, but I can’t say it’s perfect yet. Definitely getting there, new features are added all the time. **Recommendations to others considering Opster:** f there’s a feature or something you think is missing, communicate it to the team, they’re really receptive and usually you’ll see that feature added soon after. **What problems is Opster solving and how is that benefiting you?** Just wanted something that would make it easy to understand what the “right” thing to do is. So many recommendations out there and most of them never worked for me until AutoOps. The analysis is always super accurate, root cause pinpointed every time and resolutions are complete. ### 3. Thanks to Opster we’ve improved performance and fixed issues. **What do you dislike about Opster?** Haven't found anything that I dislike at this point. The tools are very accurate and easy to use. **What problems is Opster solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use the tools for managing and optimizing Elasticsearch/OpenSearch. We can now understand what’s going on with our entire system and what requires our attention the most. ### 4. We wanted to reduce our Elasticsearch costs, but we couldn’t take the chance of performance degradation. The minute we began working with Opster, we were able to dramatically cut down our costs thanks to Opster’s recommendations and optimizations. At the same time, we started seeing massive improvment in our search and indexing performance, and haven’t had a single moment of downtime (even while upgrading versions, which was always a tricky and complicated process before). It’s hard to imagine going back to managing Elasticsearch without Opster - which is why we don’t plan to. **What do you dislike about Opster?** I haven’t found anything I dislike yet. Beyond the incredible products, my whole team really loves the Opster support engineers we’ve been working with. Their expertise is unparalleled, and they’re also just awesome people. **Recommendations to others considering Opster:** When implementing all the recommended changes to your system, make sure you understand why those changes will help. There’s so much to learn when it comes to Elasticsearch, and the Opster team knows everything there is to know. **What problems is Opster solving and how is that benefiting you?** Aside from reducing costs, the huge benefit has been our performance increase. By optimizing templates and schema mappings, our whole system has become so much more efficient and quick. No more node disconnections, no more searches causing latency and harming our ability to uphold our SLAs. We just don’t need to worry about Elasticsearch anymore the way we used to. ### 5. Everything we needed. **What do you dislike about Opster?** Could improve the dashboard a bit to make it easier to see what we need to address but this is on their roadmap. **What problems is Opster solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy to upgrade versions without downtime, solved noisy neighbor issues, gained active-active data recovery and its easy to scale with multiple clusters and tenants. ### 8. With Opster, I just haven’t had to worry about ES and that’s been amazing. I know that the Opster products we installed on-prem are constantly optimizing and monitoring our system, and I know that the Opster team is proactively reviewing everything to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. I don’t have to constantly check, adjust, troubleshoot and lose my mind anymore. Opster’s got it covered for me. **What do you dislike about Opster?** Honestly, whenever something isn’t working well for us, or there’s a feature we want and don’t have, we just communicate it with the team and they whip up a solution. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to switch from a managed service to Opster. **What problems is Opster solving and how is that benefiting you?** We always had slow searches and search latency - that’s the first thing we tackled with Opster and have improved our search speed by 47% in a really short time We had issues with shard rebalancing, which was causing hotspot issues. Opster’s Operator fixed that for us We had failed indexing operations, which is a thing of the past since Opster’s various optimizations. There’s way more, but those 3 are the main things that really boosted our system. ### 10. They’re incredibly responsive and help us solve any issue we had in record time (can’t even compare to working with ticket-based support services). The products, especially the Search Gateway, are the exact solutions my company needed. We had a lot of really heavy searches causing downtime, and no other product on the market was able to help us solve the problem like Opster’s was. **What do you dislike about Opster?** Genuinely have no complaints. Wish they could develop even more products even more quickly. Really recommend to anyone who cares about their Elasticsearch performance. **What problems is Opster solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Opster’s products, we’re now blocking heavy searches that were slowing down our operations. We have the best configuration for optimal performance, so we don’t have to think about it too much. Our operations are fully load balanced and Opster’s team lets us know if there are any problems and helps us prevent them.
