What do you like best about openmeet?

OpenMeet is a community-focused platform that makes it easy to connect with people nearby, organize events, and build meaningful local groups. It’s simple to use, privacy-friendly, and offers tools for group management, messaging, and event coordination—all without the noise or ads of large social networks. By emphasizing real-world connections, data ownership, and accessibility, OpenMeet helps users foster authentic engagement and collaboration within their communities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about openmeet?

One downside of OpenMeet is that, while its community focus is great, it’s still a relatively new platform—so the user base may be smaller, making it harder to find active local groups in some areas. The interface, though simple, can sometimes feel basic compared to more established event or meeting apps, and a few advanced features (like integrations or analytics) are limited. Additionally, review and approval processes for content or events can take time, which may slow down engagement for active organizers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Multilingual and Web-Based, But Pricey and Complex"
What do you like best about openmeet?

I like that OpenMeet doesn't require a separate app download, making it effective and easy to access contents through a controlled admin hub. I also appreciate that it supports multiple languages, around 40, which is really helpful when engaging a multidimensional audience with different language needs. It's great for web-based engagement and supports both virtual and live content, letting me see how the live audience interacts with the content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about openmeet?

The higher cost and learning curve are its demerits. The costing could be on the lower side, making it feasible for brands and companies to try without spending much. Once you start using it, you have to figure out how to use certain features like Q&A and analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
