We are more feature rich than an MIS (managment information system) but less complicated than an ERP. ## Open-School Reviews ### 1. It minimises the use of paper work since parents and students data are now in one place. The scalability of the software is perfect, as the school grows the software is able to accommodate all the new users. You can also installed the system in the cloud without many complications. **What do you dislike about Open-School?** I don't have many disadvantages with the software except for the price. It is a bit expensive for the young and upcoming schools. **Recommendations to others considering Open-School:** I highly recommend schools and other learning institutions to try this software for the smooth running of the school. **What problems is Open-School solving and how is that benefiting you?** Generally for school management such as students information, records and student fees. automation of school processes saves on time and resources. Paperwork has been significantly reduced. We now have a single point of contact for all the parents and students in our district. We are happy with the support and its quality. The UI design of this application is so beautiful which make it more user friendly. **What do you dislike about Open-School?** There were some issues where the complete source code was not uploaded for enhancement. That was a little problematic. Nothing major though. The SQL issues really were the only issues we ran across. We just tweaked our build. **Recommendations to others considering Open-School:** Use it, try it. As I have stated previously, I did enjoy the product when we had it. We just transitioned to another software at the beginning of 2018. **What problems is Open-School solving and how is that benefiting you?** Problems, not really problems we are solving. It is really helping reduce paperwork through out our district. It is easy for everyone to use, from faculty to parents. We only used it for a couple years, I personally miss it as the district went with another, "cheaper" software. ### 5. One of my favorite add-ons is the payments/wallet section that helps save the time it would take for payment processing too. It's an easy to use platform too. A great school management system. **What do you dislike about Open-School?** It's a bit too expensive for my taste and it's website can be made more attractive with some nice modern looking updates. **Recommendations to others considering Open-School:** I'd recommend you to try it out. At least their trial period. Maybe look for discounts too. **What problems is Open-School solving and how is that benefiting you?** Improving the efficiency and the work involved around ensuring that school-management and payment is well-automated. ### 6. From the very small school to a very large school, Open School meets all the needs. The interface is very intuitive and does not require expert knowledge.
