Documetation sometime lacks detail or is outdated, which leads sometimes to trial and error during setup. **What problems is Odoo Sales solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it end to end to manage complex bids for naval catering projects, from initial quotation to final delivery. My absolute favorite feature is the product configurator. As a company that manufactures office cubicles, it is nice to have dropdowns for our sales staff to select the colors for each section of the office cubicle panel and not have them enter the colors by hand. **What do you dislike about Odoo Sales?** The products page can be a little slow to load mainly when you have products that have a large number of variations. **What problems is Odoo Sales solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are speeding up the time it takes for our sales staff to create estimates and invoices. While we have been able to speed up time to create these estimates our sales staff has also been able to cut down on errors while doing order entry. ### 6. In addition, there are nice add-ons such as the EasyPost app that allow you to process shipping from Odoo, saving a lot of time. Payment connections with Stripe or Authorize.net make processing transactions a breeze. You can send a quote to a customer with the Discuss app functionality without having to leave the quotation or use an external email. With the Website app, the customer can click the link in the email to find the quote on your website and pay it online, mitigating some PCI compliance risks. When the order is placed, the inventory item rules are followed to create the correct workflow. This may be a Request for Quote from your vendor for a drop-shipment or a regular shipment for stock. It may also be for a Manufacturing Order. **What do you dislike about Odoo Sales?** Refunds are difficult to process and required training by our accounting department in order to understand the required steps. Even though there are payment acquirer connections, refunds are not part of that integration. So the refund must be processed through the payment acquirer and then also in odoo. Another issue is that modifying forms is not as intuitive as other functions in Odoo. However, I have heard that this was addressed in v14. **Recommendations to others considering Odoo Sales:** As I write this review, we are nearly to the yearly Odoo experience, which occurs in late October or early November. If you are considering switching to Odoo, it may be worth it to wait until the next version is out to launch. I am using v13. There were a lot of bug fixes and an impressive amount of added functionality in v14. I expect v15 to be better yet. If you can't wait, upgrades are free, but a somewhat involved process. **What problems is Odoo Sales solving and how is that benefiting you?** Though there are many apps that need to be purchased to realize the full benefits of Odoo Sales, the pricing is quite reasonable for the functionality. We saved 40% over our previous ERP provider. I wish we had found Odoo a long time ago. Odoo has helped us to save a lot of time chasing orders and stocking requirements with the functionality that our previous ERP provider did not have. ### 8. It has Sound customization features. Cheap. The new version improved visualization significantly.. As part of the ODOO suite, It integrated very well with other ODOO Modules. It is very customizable.This can be done either via simple field management or tweaking the code behind. The latter requires coding experience. **What do you dislike about Odoo Sales?** Not aesthetically pleasing. ODOO Sales is not user-friendly for novice users and not very intuitive. Customization can be done, but some of them require complex configuration from IT specialists. I ended up relying a lot on the IT team, where I originally expected to be a self-served tool, managed entirely by the business team. **Recommendations to others considering Odoo Sales:** Look for a local ODOO partner who can support you with initial setup and customization. Talk to your other business areas using ODOO ERP Modules to align module integration with ODOO Sales, specially accounting and Order management/Inventory/Manufacturing modules. **What problems is Odoo Sales solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use it for Leads and Customersmanagement. Our team also uses it for creating quotations , closing orders, and invoicing Suitable for saving customer information and documentation. I found it super useful how it integrated with the rest of the ERP, specially with the Accounting module for quick invoicing. If you are looking for a low-price ERP, you will find ODOO a convenient solution. With ODOO Sales you avoid having to look for a more expensive CRM like Hubspot, or Zoho and you specially avoid having to integrate different systems. ### 10.
