Odoo Rental allows companies to keep track of all rental processes in one place. All stages, from quotation to invoicing, are easily tracked with this easy-to-use, super intuitive solution. In the latest version, users can create a rental quote from the CRM app, simply by clicking “Create Rental.” They can also rent a product from the Gantt view, and warn users if the product is rented. Odoo 14 also added serial numbers to the rental analysis report. You can check product availability, as well. Create your rental order, schedule, delivery, return, and invoice all from one single view. Get all the information you need, directly on the rental order, itself. And, with the real-time overview feature, you can keep an eye on the availability of your products and serial numbers from a convenient Gantt view. Now we don't have to use a dedicated Rental management system or to integrate it with our erp. Because we get a fully functional Rental app within Odoo that is already integrated with other apps like sales and accounting. **What do you dislike about Odoo Rental?** It's not that I dislike anything. Just it is to note that the app is generic and covers almost everything that can be rented. So for clients with different business nature and rental products, the app is likely to be customized a little to give the client a more relevant software solution look. **What problems is Odoo Rental solving and how is that benefiting you?** Managing a rental business can be a painless task if the entrepreneur is using an ERP solution to manage the operations. They should work on UI components from standard to modern way. This allows for smooth follow up, and avoids items disappearing. **What do you dislike about Odoo Rental?** Somehow it’s not yet so easy to have the planning tool visible to everyone. Also the rental could be more planning oriented for managing reservations in the future (proposing what device to use etc). **What problems is Odoo Rental solving and how is that benefiting you?** We lost some rental equipment and didn’t have good visibility where everything was. This also avoids miscommunication with customers as we always send a quote and or confirmation now. That way it’s clear what the cost is. ### 13. It must be stopped manually. **What problems is Odoo Rental solving and how is that benefiting you?** Salespeople forgot to invoice our customers for equipment rentals because it required a lot of administrative work and reminders and follow-ups. With the rental module, the creation of quotes is made easier, rental quotes are signed by customers online, and you no longer need to worry about invoicing and monthly reminders. ### 14. You can rent and sell at the same time. You can deliver rented and sold products together. You can then sell rented products and cancel incoming rental returns. **What do you dislike about Odoo Rental?** It is not easy to define rental pricing on some complex scenarios. If you step out of quantity the one unit of time you selected on the sale, it becomes counter intuitive. In rental, upsell is frequent and requires to be flexible on this. **What problems is Odoo Rental solving and how is that benefiting you?** Management of the rented inventory. Management of the serial numbers rented vs on hand, to coordinate maintenance. Selling both rental service and sold products (ie: accessories). ### 15.
