The process is very straight forward and well documented. The entire process from rack, stack, config, and deply can be accomplished in under 30 minutes. After that, you live with the comfort of "immutable bliss" moving forward! As an added bonus, everyone that I interacted with at ObjectFirst (From my sales rep to support) were extremely plesant and knowledgeable. They have a great product and they are operating already like the gold standard in their class. **What do you dislike about Object First?** My only chief complaint, which is more of a shot at Veeam than ObjectFirst, is that veeam has a 10 day immutable period configured that is not reflected in the UI. So you could potentially fill up your Ootbi unexpectedly, and then be unable to delete objects to clear up space. My advice for new ObjectFirst users to to slowly migrate your backup jobs. **What problems is Object First solving and how is that benefiting you?** Object First helps me migrate from my legacy storage (which was not immutable) to fast and modern immutable storage with ease and confidence. ### 5. With the built in security and controls in place to keep the security in place, it truly is an immutable appliance. We leverage this for ourselves and our customers to provide a secure repository to store backups in. **What do you dislike about Object First?** Ability to scale. While this is on the roadmap to get bigger and better, the size at this time is a little turn off for the large cusotmers. **What problems is Object First solving and how is that benefiting you?** OOTBI is solving the issues of having a secure and robust repository to store backups. Every IT professional knows, the number 1 rule is to have backups and most importantly, have valid and restorable backups. OOTBI provides that with the ability to store and secure those backups without having to worry and give it a second thought. ### 6. The setup, configuration, and connectivity are very simple. Connecting the system to Veeam Backup afterwards is also extremely easy. Simple, secure, easy to configure/setup, WebUI is clean and easy to navigate, updating is simple and connectivity to Veeam is very easy. **What do you dislike about Object First?** - SSL - need to be able to implement CA-signed certificates - Keys - need to be able to assign keys to any user, not just the one logged in **What problems is Object First solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allowing us to test and determine feasability of using Object First with offerings to customers that involved Veeam Appliances and offsite backups. ### 7. We were one of their first 10 customers and have been using the Ootbi appliance ever since with regular attention from their team. **What do you dislike about Object First?** The cost is higher than other immutable storage appliances **What problems is Object First solving and how is that benefiting you?** Immutable object storage is extremely complicated with millions of objects which need to be moved around constantly. Object First wrote new Linux code that interfaces with Veeam better than anything on the market. We are seeing 2 to 3 times the backup and restore speed when using Veeam and the Ootbi appliance. It is impressive how they figured out the performance enhancements ### 8.
