## About NorthOS
NorthOS is bookkeeping and tax software built specifically for Canadian sole proprietors, freelancers, and side hustlers. Most bookkeeping software is general-purpose accounting organized around a chart of accounts. NorthOS is organized around the CRA's forms instead. Every expense you log is categorized to its correct CRA Form T2125 line as you enter it, so year end is an export rather than a reconciliation. NorthOS tracks your rolling four-quarter revenue against the GST/HST $30,000 registration threshold and flags it before you cross, so you register on time instead of owing GST you never charged. It includes a GST/HST Quick Method calculator covering all 13 provinces and territories, and it recognizes provincial sales tax for BC, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Connect your bank and credit card accounts for automatic transaction import (every transaction lands in a review queue with a suggested CRA category, and nothing posts to your books until you approve it). Scan receipts or import them from Google Drive. North, the built-in AI assistant, can log expenses, create and send invoices, and mark them paid, proposing each action for you to confirm.
