"Fast and it works !"
What do you like best about Noloco?

I researched and tested 9 different platforms from low-code to no-code and none of them lived up to their marketed promised. I was always left short of the final deployment and had to do a bunch of work just to get into production and they still missed many important features (i.e. security and scale). Then I found NOLOCO. The 'first' time I did my test application it worked. It was easy to use. Intuitive (did not even have to read any doc). And it has embedded security features that save me days or work doing it on our own. It's strength is speed to market on a fully working app that is ready out of the box for production. It has easy integrations to my back end database and workflow tools. And MOST IMPORTANT it is fully supported by humans who actually care about their customer. Transparency and accessibility and community is what make Noloco different from the others. It won't fit everyone but for fast production projects needed now it is the best tool to use. What do you dislike about Noloco?

The only issue for some (not most) is that it is architecturally designed around its own database system. This is also why it deploys so quickly with full security functionality. And for most use cases scalability will not be an issue. But some use cases may not like the pricing structure if you have thousands of users and tens of millions of rows in your database. Meaning large scalable SaaS companies (who don't like low-code option anyway) may not like that. But seriously that is NOT a big deal for 80% of the rest of the market who need quick, efficient and secure deployments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Extremely Frustrating Experience with Noloco"
What do you like best about Noloco?

It is important to acknowledge that our initial attraction to Noloco was grounded in its promising concept. The idea of a flexible, no-code platform that could potentially streamline development processes was very appealing. In fact, if Noloco functioned as it was meant to—without the numerous technical issues, arbitrary limitations, and unsatisfactory support—it could have been a genuinely good and competitive no-code solution. The platform shows potential, but the execution has fallen significantly short of expectations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Noloco?

I strongly advise caution when considering Noloco for your no-code platform needs. Our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Over the course of 19 months, we invested extensive time setting up a platform that turned out to be riddled with limitations and persistent syncing issues. Initially, there were no restrictions on the number of records within our subscription. However, about 6 months ago, without any prior warning, Noloco imposed a strict limit of 50,000 rows—forcing us to painstakingly reduce our records to 41,036 just to meet this arbitrary constraint.

Even more concerning was their lack of transparency regarding syncing issues. Despite numerous emails and detailed Loom videos illustrating how changes from Xano were not syncing to Noloco, the problems remained unresolved. After over two months of effort cleaning our database, which included deleting 11,884 duplicate records, the platform's interface still lagged and functioned at an unacceptably slow pace—taking over 7 minutes to change a single setting.

What truly compounded our frustration was Noloco's abysmal customer support. Their apparent indifference to our numerous pleas for help and the subsequent withdrawal of a refund promise after our initial concerns left us feeling completely unsupported. To make matters worse, we were forced to remain locked into their subscription—despite paying more than 4,281 USD—simply because we had no immediate alternative within the Noloco ecosystem while we switched to another no-code platform.

In summary, the lack of functionality, continuous technical issues, and poor customer service from Noloco have resulted in a very disappointing and costly experience. I can provide emails and Loom videos as evidence upon request. Proceed with extreme caution if you decide to work with this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Darragh Mc Kay of Noloco

Matthias, we're sorry to hear that your experience with Noloco did not meet your expectations. As with every review, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

However, for the sake of clarity to others reading this review, we want to correct a few key points:

Noloco has always had limits on record volumes in our apps, especially when integrating with other databases backends like Xano. This is to ensure we can support the app performance and sync speed we stand over. While we acknowledge that these limits could have been communicated more clearly in the past, “unlimited records” was never advertised or supported.

Throughout your time with Noloco, our support team provided extensive guidance, reviewed your setup, and shared multiple recommendations to help you achieve your goals within the platform’s capabilities and even worked on your app for hours at a time trying to allow your app to sync better with Xano. This is the same proactive and responsive support that many of our other customers frequently praise, and which we offered you as well, even when it became clear your requirements exceeded what Noloco was designed to support.

Despite offering a refund for the last 3 months and help migrating off Noloco, you chose to continue using the platform, and later demanded a full refund for more than a year of service, threatening to write this review if we didn't comply. While we always strive to do right by our users, we must also be fair and consistent in how we handle such requests.

We remain committed to delivering a flexible, powerful no-code platform for building tools for businesses of all sizes, that work exceptionally well for our customers.
