What do you like best about Netwrix Endpoint Protector?

The system is extremely powerful with the ability to protect our data. If you're looking to keep your companies data where it belongs this is the software to do it across multiple platforms. After researching a number of other programs we could find a program to cover all of our machines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netwrix Endpoint Protector?

The learning curve is pretty steep to get the policies setup correctly. I was never informed by the team at EPP that I needed the server to host this - I was presumed they hosted it. After a bit of work I got an extra machine up and running and the system running. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Make sure your team has someone to set this up and have the machine to host the software. That was the only piece we were missing is we had to scramble to find a machine powerful enough to host the solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Netwrix Endpoint Protector?

I liked how responsive their support was and how they bundled all the products in one console. The console was pretty simple to work with. I like use agents and this product involves installing an agent on the device that will then report in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netwrix Endpoint Protector?

There was labeling that was unclear in the console and even their support team agreed when I brought it to their attention. This made it difficult to create policies and see them in action. In the week trial, I was only able to observe 1 file exchange to a USB. The product seems a bit outdated. The initial quote we were given was later doubled in cost. Recommendations to others considering Netwrix Endpoint Protector:

I would recommend exploring other products on the market. This product has potential but it's similar in cost to other products has some difficulty in configuring due to outdated labelling in the console, and doesn't cover as much as other products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Still needs some improvement and development to full fill use cases like flagging on the basis of pastes, restricting commands via CLI and lacking in logging of events, the logging of events is not very user friendly and does not give detailed information for the flagged events.
