"It starts well, but then imposes unfair conditions."

What do you like best about Mangopay?

Mangopay has good technical support and quite comprehensive documentation, which makes the work much easier for developers. The initial integration was simple and the prices at the beginning were very competitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mangopay?

Over time, the relationship has changed for the worse. They have started to impose new conditions with very little room for reaction, like: "you have two months to change or we will kick you out." They have also started charging for things that were previously included. The policy on changes and prices has lost all predictability and flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mangopay solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem is that they change the contractual conditions unilaterally, with very little room for adaptation. They impose new technical requirements, eliminate free functionalities, and start charging for essential services without prior negotiation. This creates great uncertainty and forces the diversion of resources to resolve imposed urgencies.

How does that benefit me? It forces me to always have a plan B and to value more stable and transparent solutions. In the long term, it helps us better understand the real costs of this type of integration and not to rely excessively on a single provider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mangopay?

Flexibility, ability to do virtually all that we want and use various payment methods Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mangopay?

- Payment Go through rate is very low and still declining, for MIT (and CIT)

- Some banks do not accept 0€ card registration - problem signalled 6 months ago at least

- We got bad transition follow up for CIT/MIT, resulting with several banks refusing our payments. We need to process several hundreds/thousands of new 3DS authentications

- Bad customer support, technical/ normal support is unreachable and our Success manager reachable but not always come through

"Hard to understand the impact of Nethone"

What do you like best about Mangopay?

The account management and the follow-up of Nethone's team are excellent.

They follow up with us frequently and they come to the discussions well-prepared, for example, with ideas for improving the algorithm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mangopay?

Even if they handle our account in a proper way, it is hard to understand which part of the results are thanks to them. As fraud can be a considerable issue, AB testing only using them without using 3DS doesn't make sense to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
