## NaviNet Open Reviews
 ### 1. Easy to Search, But Losing Value as Insurers Move Away

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christina M. | Administrative Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about NaviNet Open?**

There are many insurance providers and sibsidiaries that can be searched. Ease of use.

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

It does not save past insurance verification inquiries. Many insurance companies have left Navinet and have gone to Availity for authorization requests and remit information, so NaviNet does hold as much value as it has in the past.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a great tool for insurance payor discovery since there are many payers that can be searched within it's portal.

 ### 2. Provider Portal

**Reviewed by:** Heather L. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about NaviNet Open?**

NaviNet is helpful when looking for claim status. It gives access to several insurances in one place.

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

There is a monthly access fee - it used to be free.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The convenience of checking claim status without having to wait on hold or call during business hours is so valuable.

 ### 3.
Inquiries about claims

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2021

**What do you like best about NaviNet Open?**

Save a lot of time with fast service for claims status under one portal. You have access to get infomercials from many companies about your healthcare claims.

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

Our main and serious concern is the monthly fee. If you offer a lower price, it would be best for us.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navinet is one of the best clearinghouses for medical facilities. Offer detailed review of stuck claims and also updated with current ICD and CPT.

 ### 4. a perfect way to check the eligibility of customers and the pcp on the insurance cards

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about NaviNet Open?**

a perfect way to check patients elgibility

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

Numbers and names must be precise, so if the last name is two words or misspelled, it will just indicate an error.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us answers the same time as the visit

 ### 5. Navinet is very helpful in medical billing and more

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2020

It had a couple of glitches but nothing to serious.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 6. Best communication and billing tool for patients.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quinter J. | Professional Nurse, Medical Practice, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2019

**What do you like best about NaviNet Open?**

Very easy and reliable to customer,it is cheap and user customized.the vendors respond very quickly in the case of problem.

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

Very little problems but the vendors are very reliable and move fast to help a d therefore no dislike in particular.

**Recommendations to others considering NaviNet Open:**

I have been using this software for sometimes and it gives god result and therefore recommend positively for its use.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to submit claims, instead of going through a 3rd party company, search claims details, pulling benefits for patients. Being able to view and print EOB and remittance advice reports. Being able to check the allowance inquiry for new codes that are added to system.

 ### 7. Difficult to navigate.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about NaviNet Open?**

I do not like anything about this program. The insurance company expects us to use this program for post acute care authorizations and gave little notice to when it would take affect and gave 1 day notice that they were holding an in service on how to use it 4 days before it was going to take full effect. During the in service, no one was able to answer questions on how it was going to affect hospitals and other health care providers. It all seemed very unorganized and felt like such a rapid change within a couple of weeks.

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

It is extremely difficult to use and customer service gives little to no help.

**Recommendations to others considering NaviNet Open:**

Product was introduced less than a month and is requesting to be heavily used with little to no knowledge of the product.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None.

 ### 8. Navinet review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2019

**What do you like best about NaviNet Open?**

It is a user friendly application and has a good interface. It is a great tool for the claims management, processing, authorizing information, easily allows the providers to submit referrals. It lowers the administrative cost and helps in improving provider network.

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

It is a great tool and does not really have any con. It maintains privacy of the Patient Health Information. the implementation is faster and it is easy to learn. There is a great training material so it is easy for any new user to learn this tool.

**Recommendations to others considering NaviNet Open:**

I highly recommend navinet to all users. It has 24 hour helpline to solve any problems that you may face during its usage.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this product on a daily basis to process claims for highmark insurance. It helps to track various analytical problems like patient readmissions, provider referrals. It also helps in predictive analysis for medication reconciliation which is a big issue in this time of opioid crisis.

 ### 9. NaviNet helps you find and do everything in one place.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pauline C. | Account Coordinator, Pharmaceuticals, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2018

**What do you like best about NaviNet Open?**

NaviNet allows you to view, edit, and submit claims for many of the big insurance carriers. But one the thing that really allows it to stand out above the rest: you can submit both reconsiderations and appeals for certain carriers. You can get so much done without spending excess time, or money, to ensure the care patients received is addressed in the revenue cycle in a timely fashion.

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

Though you can submit reconsiderations and appeals, it's not yet available for every carrier, per the carriers' own provider manuals. Additionally, NaviNet can look clunky, as opposed to modern as the healthcare industry continuously progresses in the modernity of its technology and procedures.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the revenue cycle, time is of the essence when submitting, reviewing, and appealing claims. NaviNet allows you to see and ensure everything is done on time and with efficiency.

 ### 10. A great platform for patient eligibility, benefit information and claim status

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about NaviNet Open?**

I do like how easy this platform is. Once you're registered as a provider's office- it's so easy to one click to verify benefits and determine eligibility. You can also check claim status but often- you can not obtain what you would if say you were an in network provider. You have to pay for the premium functions which can get pricey so we often use NaviNet and Availity- simultaneously.

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

The amount it costs. For a big practice- it would be cost effective however as a small practitioner office- it is way too expensive.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Less time on the phone with automated systems! Gosh I hate those automated systems- I can check everything without getting frustrated and it is SURE WONDERFUL!

 ### 11. NavitNet

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

I dislike that it is not compitible with good chrome.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use navinet for electronic claims billing for a small psychological practice. benefits are that it is quicker than paper filing and more than one company is available to me.

 ### 12. Helpful tool for claims and eligibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2019

**What do you like best about NaviNet Open?**

This system makes it easy to check eligibility for patients and also streamlines claims processing. It allows you to check multiple insurance companies in one place.

**What do you dislike about NaviNet Open?**

There are times that some of the pages were glitchy. It could be our internet that was the issue with some of it. The passwords seem to have to be reset more often than be should be required.

**What problems is NaviNet Open solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were experiencing a better workflow when using this service since it keeps more things in place. We realized that it is easier to stay on top of claims when you can check one place vs 10.

 ### 13. Super user friendly

Benefits and claim status
