The free version is the best of all free CAD software, and the pro version is even better than the autocad itself, there is no important function in autocad that this software does not have. **What do you dislike about nanoCAD Free?** Some minor problems, bugs or glitches aren't fixed until a new big update, there are some commands that I used to use in autocad that are not found or have different abbreviations **Recommendations to others considering nanoCAD Free:** Stop looking for free CAD softwares, this is the best free option and the PRO version is much better than autocad. **What problems is nanoCAD Free solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can do all my plans and designs at a very low cost compared with all its advantages, and if you are low in money, the free version is good enough to withstand. ### 3. It also uses .dwg extension which a lot of the other CAD software does not. **What do you dislike about nanoCAD Free?** As in most cases trying learn a new CAD software has a curve and this one is no different. but over all not that bad to learn since a lot of the commands are the same as AutoCAD, so that makes it a little easier. **What problems is nanoCAD Free solving and how is that benefiting you?** Have no got to that point in solving issues or being proficient, still learning, but to be truthful, it realy hard to break away from AutoCAD. The only benefit at this time is that the version I am runing is free and this maybe the issues in breaking beyond and escaping from the cluches of AutoCAD. ### 4. You have to registers i even for the one that is free by generating a key, which is kind of stressful. Sometimes it can just stop working. Even when you uninstall and reinstall at different times. **Recommendations to others considering nanoCAD Free:** Noticed is a very good grade cad and design tools with beautiful and easy interface. Its a free program that can be used to quickly draft digitally. In this technology driven world it is imparative to have quick access to tools to share designs and ideas. Because this product is free, it can be used in conjunction with a pricier option like AutoCAD if you need to draw up a quick diagram. Later you can import it into whatever software is your favorite choice. It can be a work saving option if you do not have access to the paid software like AutoCAD **What do you dislike about nanoCAD Free?** What I dislike most about this software nanoCAD is that it is not as full of features as AutoCAD. The industry is ran by AutoCAD and to compare this as a competing software is a little bit of an overstatement. It's user friendly once you are properly trained. **What do you dislike about nanoCAD Free?** The training you need to maneuver and use takes a while. I took an online CAD class and received a certificate from school but for my other designers who have no prior training in CAD suffered. It's very complex and time managing is hard when you want to learn quickly. You need proper training. **What problems is nanoCAD Free solving and how is that benefiting you?** For bigger projects over $100k we started to implement using this software. I had to be more hands on with my staff to ensure they knew some short cuts to eliminate some time/save time. Our BoConcept software was limited to only using our own products images and had limitations on scaling, 3d view and wall colors etc. NanoCAD allows us to have unlimited amount of creative aspects to build. ### 9. Its interface and way of work is very similar to Autocad 2008 (The last which had the old interface). Very powerful 2D CAD tool! **What do you dislike about nanoCAD Free?** It is free but you have to register for a key, however I know this is a minor issue. It also do not have so much tools as Autocad and written commands are not the same. **Recommendations to others considering nanoCAD Free:** Just use it!
