You don't have to sign up with multiple vendors which makes technology and spend management streamlined. By leveraging tools like Fivetran, onboarding data is fast and easy. The initial implementation can be completed in a week. When you start to create transformations, Mozart provides you with several options which require only SQL. The Mozart transformation interface and the DBT integration. Finally, the customer support is highly responsive and help you customize the Mozart platform to fit your specific needs. We leverage this every data to tack our sales and operations. We also recommend the platform to all of our customers. **What do you dislike about Mozart Data?** The ability to better estimate MAR during initial implementation. During the first 14 days, you are not charged for data being loaded, but it is not until the 15th day do you see the actual MAR usage. It would be ideal to have the visability during the first 14 days to make adjustments before the billing period would start. **What problems is Mozart Data solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mozart makes centralizing your data simple. If you are using a SaaS platform, you can have you data in Mozart within hours. How easy it is to utlize the platform. Once implemented it is so easy to use. The support you recived from Mozart staff makes it super fun to use. **What do you dislike about Mozart Data?** There are little to no downsides with Mozart, though the one hiccup i stumble across is the limited connectors. When we decided to build a robust data warehouse and reporting platform, I was pretty worried because we're a small company. I had seen these projects go off the rails at medium and enterprises. We had no time to waste on trying to cobble together our own solutions or talk about hosting options. Mozard Data offered us an excellent turn-key solution that uses some of the best technology out today, already configured to work together at a great price. My team was able to get a full solution up and running in less than a week and focus on the data connections, ETL and reporting, instead of trying to figure out how to host or admin systems like SnowFlake and FiveTran. Now that the solution is up, running and providing value, we can take the time to explore further in those areas but it was not a prerequisite to start achieving positive ROI on a data solution. On top of everything the team at Mozart have helped us from day one, and continued to offer help and support, not just on their setup but on the underlying tech itself. I knew we were in trouble when I realized that they were still using Excel as a database. With an archaic IT Team, who would shortly after go through their own revamp and restructuring, I turned towards cloud infrastructure. With Mozart, I was given an all in one solution, elimintating the need for additional head count. We were able to quickly spool up a modern data stack and get our business intelligence up and going than if we were to try and piecemeal a solution together. If time and head count are a concern for you, I would strongly encourage you to look at Mozart Data. ### 6. You don't know how much you're going to pay until after you give them all of your data, because you've likely never seen your data this way before. In addition to knowing how much data you need, you also need to know how much compute time you need. **What problems is Mozart Data solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having a mobile application means that most likely your data is everywhere: You've got your download count numbers by Google/Apple, your analytics in Segment, and your production database somewhere else. Here are things I like about it. - Bundled access to Fivetran, Snowflake, transform all in one place - Straightforward integrations with key vendors (Salesforce, Stripe, Postgres, Amplitude) - Easy to build transformations to run nightly - Google sheets sync is huge - AWESOME support. The team is always available to answer questions and has gone above and beyond a lot of vendors I've been bringing on recently. **What do you dislike about Mozart Data?** Mozart is early on in their process, so a lot of the stuff I dislike is just a function of growing pains. - SQL editor is a bit clunky (but you can access Snowflake and write there instead) - Non-native integrations take some custom SQL work **What problems is Mozart Data solving and how is that benefiting you?** We stood up a data warehouse from scratch with Mozart Data. All you need to know is SQL and nothing else to manage it. They also sync to google sheets if you prefer to use that for analysis -- which less technical folks find super useful. If you don't have a complicated data infra and don't have a lot of talent in your team to get started, Mozart is the perfect option. **What do you dislike about Mozart Data?** Their transformation product is an MVP at best. There is a lot of important features missing such as test and validation, documentation, incremental snapshot -- FYI, some of them exist but the features are not at a level to be comparable to dbt or an in-house ETL. **What problems is Mozart Data solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using it to make it easy for larger teams to write their own transformation and also to have an easily manageable ELT pipeline. Enterprise software setup is a huge bear and I just don't need to know all the ins and outs of it. Mozart gives me a fully-fledged modern data stack without the muss and fuss. **What do you dislike about Mozart Data?** I'd like to see some git integration, but they are working on that. They are also working on more granular permissions. It would be good to see the ability to have user roles e.g. some users can query but not setup. **Recommendations to others considering Mozart Data:** Just buy it, don't try to configure your own data stack. Also the Support team is super knowledgeable. This means people that can use SQL to create reports. The biggest things for us are: - We love how easy it is to set up additional data sources. As we've brought online more third party tools over the past year, we haven't had to worry that there are gaps in our BI reporting. The amount of connectors they have is pretty amazing and setting each one up couldn't be easier. - The platform has been rock solid and has required zero maintenance on our part.
