What do you like best about Monodevelop?

What do you like best about Monodevelop?

Its interface is very simple to use, which has allowed me to learn to program in a fairly simple way, the fact that it supports multiple programming languages seems to me a very attractive feature, since in this way I can acquire greater knowledge in others languages without having to adapt to another IDE, the ease with which the files can be compiled and exported turns out to be quite useful, in terms of performance the application has been working perfectly, in our case we have not had any kind of A problem while using this IDE, the fact that it is easy to use and easy to learn has allowed both my colleagues and I to simplify our study of the C # programming language in a rather impressive way. What do you dislike about Monodevelop?

I really don't have any kind of inconvenience regarding the use of this application, which for me was a surprise because I always considered that the use of IDE was quite problematic, however Monodevelop has not been the case Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Monodevelop solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has been a great help for both me and my university colleagues to learn the fundamentals of programming in a fairly simple, simple and didactic way and especially the proper C # syntax which has been great for us. It helps when we have to study for our exams, the fact that it supports multiple languages has been something that we have found phenomenal since it allows us to continue using it in the future without any inconvenience. "I used Monodevelop for Game Development with Unity"

What do you like best about Monodevelop?

I used Monodevelop for a while a few years ago and I really liked how light weight it was. Visual Studio for example has many features and it is easy to get lost with all of the buttons that are visible. Monodevelop's interface is very simple and easy to use and navigate. What do you dislike about Monodevelop?

Honestly there was very little to dislike. I didn't go too much into the hidden features of Monodevelop. I was using it as a simple IDE and it worked great for me. No problems at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mono is amazing"

What do you like best about Monodevelop?

MonoDevelop 2.6 is cool. I first tried MonoDevelop about a 4 year ago and gave up quickly. It just wasn’t usable, but these days it’s a totally different story. I’m quite drawn to Mono and MonoDevelop because I used to be a .net developer and really like C# as a language. Also as an old Delphi developer the .net framework has an intuitive design and structure since they were both designed in large part by the same guy – Anders Hejlsberg. I saw him present on LINQ in LA, he’s a clever dude.

Mono is an open source project to make .Net compliant tools, compilers, runtimes etc. able to run not just on windows, but on linux, android, mac etc. MonoDevelop is an open source development environment for Mono providing GUI designers and language support for C#, Java, Boo, VB.Net, Python, Vala, C, C++, Oxygene (Object Pascal based .Net language, though not available in the current version of MonoDevelop).
