**What do you like best about ModSecurity?**

I really like how easy it is to install it, it doesn't feel like a scam like other debugging platforms. I also really like to know how to set up a computer. This can be useful when we let other employees put it on their computer or even individual seeking protection.

**What do you dislike about ModSecurity?**

  ### 2. A Must Have For Linux Web Server Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott F. | Director of IT Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2019

**What do you like best about ModSecurity?**

I love how quickly and easily this system installs, integrates and immediately begins protecting my server and the connected websites. A few quick commands typed in, or even easier, a few mouse clicks in my WHM interface, and BAM, I'm up and running. Basic protection begins without delay, and when I need to customize or enhance my protection levels I can do so as the server as a whole or by individual accounts or sites.

**What do you dislike about ModSecurity?**

At times the software's configuration for medium and higher security levels can lead to a number of false positives. I guess that could be said about any security software, but when this happens it can be tricky to white list the affected program ONLY. Often times you have to reduce the entire overall protection to get things to work.

**Recommendations to others considering ModSecurity:**

Any security system is better than nothing at all, but Mod Security is affordable and scalable, so don't hesitate!

**What problems is ModSecurity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm securing my web servers against attacks and security leaks on older apps.
