It came straight out of the 1980's and should have stayed there. **What problems is MISys solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used it for production planning but it was too much effort for very little gain. We decommissioned it after less than 12 months. ### 2. In some cases the command line mode is more comfortable especially the banking cash transactions are straight forward and fast compared to any other GUI software. The software is very stable for daily use and considering thousands of users using it in parallel. **What do you dislike about MISys?** Reports are in raw format that are difficult to sort. As a beginner it might feel like an uphill task to remember so many commands for performing various tasks but with experience the difficulty is reduced. It is hard to find any dislike about this software that can be used as a reason not to buy it. **Recommendations to others considering MISys:** Not only this is a very good and easy to use business support ERP software, the users will feel more techy and gain better experience than similar software in GUI mode. **What problems is MISys solving and how is that benefiting you?** We in our bank use this software extensively for various functions. For example: 1. Cash payments are record. 2. Money transfer 3. Customer account profile maintenance 4. Staff data 5. KYC data for customers 6. CDD and EDD records 7. Bank balance sheets, liabilities, expenditure. 8. Customer account statements 9. Profit disbursement for customer accounts 10. Financial reports 11. Auditing support. In short this software is kind of backbone of our banking system. ### 3. It does do that job. it is a needed software for manufacturing.It provides quick inventory checking, and thorough history analysis. Purchase history and stock movements are easy to track. Technical help is readily available.Works with Quick books integration which was necessary for our company as we operate as a manufacture but also sell our product. We needed to be able to manage everything directly through Quick Books. This feature has been great for our team! **What do you dislike about MISys?** Misys has product portfolio which caters to almost all the biggest financial institutions across the world along with several legacy products. Salary is above market and they pay very well to laterals. Biggest drawback is Indian management consists of people who are sitting there for decades without gaining significant and somehow surviving and therefore makes it difficult for others to survive in such environment. **Recommendations to others considering MISys:** Productive and Nice Place to start your career, although not much opportunity to learn new skills. **What problems is MISys solving and how is that benefiting you?** . Excellent support. Friendly team and executives. **What do you dislike about MISys?** There were times long ago when they were not responding to needs properly. These times are long gone. **Recommendations to others considering MISys:** Before asking Misys what their system does, put your own requirements from the system. **What problems is MISys solving and how is that benefiting you?** I started using their system in the early 1980,s when their name was Kapiti, and their system (Kapiti international banking system) was an accounting system. I grew with them until they became Equation and they became a very comprehensive banking application. In fact I helped one way or the other by coordinating with their great Operations Manager the late Paul Dodd in sharing with him our obstacles and suggesting solutions. My bank was also among the first to use their reporting module. In short they have a great banking application (I have used 2 other international systems and Misys was far better) their support is excellent, their teams are so capable, and all of them are extremely friendly. ### 5. It was always reliable and accurate. The customer support was always available and one of the best in the market. I also appreciate the fact that all banks were connected to MISys and the confirmation time was almost instant. It was a very stable process without any repetitive issues. **What do you dislike about MISys?** The reporting capabilities were not as I would like to. The reports are difficult to generate and especially for past data. Still this is a very minor drawback. Additionally for some cases I would expect to have one more field as requirement to confirm the deals and be able to match them. **What problems is MISys solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have all our FX deals confirmed via MISys and we are saving tons of time and risks as we deal on a daily basis with numerous banks. ### 6. Parameterization facility, Open API for third party system integration, AD integration facilities. **What do you dislike about MISys?** Customization cost is very high, Treasury (Opics) product does not work properly and system architecture is very old fashioned. System interface should be more smarter, Internet Banking product was not good. **What problems is MISys solving and how is that benefiting you?** I worked with Retail (Consumer) Banking solution, Internet banking and day to day business issues I solved in regular manner. Some issues from Credit, Trade Finance area suffered me a lot which I needed support from Misys Support team. Team is very dedicated and Support Manager was so proactive on that time when I worked. ### 7. It has simplicity in its UI which makes using MIsys a good experience and easy to use. Overall the system is good and has good support teams to assist in case of any technical support required. **What do you dislike about MISys?** MIsys is good to use but at times can get stuck if your internet is bad. It does have MRP capabilities, but I am not using them. I like the fact that you can tailor the software to your company's individual needs by purchasing only the modules that you need. The training is easy and you get a one on one training via remote desktop, so your trainer can go over exactly what your individual company needs are. **What do you dislike about MISys?** It would be nice if the modules were a little cheaper for small company's like mine, but overall I am satisfied with the software. **Recommendations to others considering MISys:** Depending on your needs, this a good software at a good price. **What problems is MISys solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before MISys, my inventory was done on a sheet of paper and I would walk around my warehouse to see what was needed. Now I can check the reports in the software and set re-order points that I can tailor to each individual component. ### 9. This aids in determining costs for customers. It so much better to know what our products actually cost. We can also see the product history of ins and outs to follow a product and see if it is used for manufacturing or sold as is. **What do you dislike about MISys?** There are some things that make MiSys difficult to work with. It is nice that MRP runs all orders that were entered since it was last run by that person, but we don't want that. We ended up with duplicate orders because of this. **What problems is MISys solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can keep a real cost for our manufactured products in the system. We have eliminated the spreadsheets we used in the past. ### 11. I had issues with the HR Heads. Benefits are good compensation, good work environment and a good office location. As a production engineer, we had to compare the pricing of items and the quality of the product. MIsys was able to help keep track of all that information for a company. **What do you dislike about MISys?** I would like to have a customizable dashboard to keep an eye on urgent matters. **Recommendations to others considering MISys:** MISys is a great program for companies starting off. It is simple to use and great way to keep track of inventory and production. It is always a transaction to train people to use an ERP system. Do put the time and effort into training the employees and you will be able to maximize the use of the program.
