I wish it were easier to pull specific data from Minga. Sometimes the data is really hard to find or track down. I’ve spoken to Minga about this, but they haven’t been able to adjust the system to make it possible.

Specifically, Minga mentioned using guidance to assign behaviors and consequences. However, when we do this, it becomes difficult to track who assigned the behavior. Then you can end up with multiple escalations and not be able to find where it originated, or you have to go through numerous reports just to locate the information. It's a 1-stop shop for so many separate programs that my school used. It is giving us a centralized program to run everything from. I find Minga really easy to use, which is awesome for both students and staff. The MyClass function is a highlight—it engages staff by letting them view classes and track student activities, which boosts interaction. Plus, we love how the PBIS points are integrated, encouraging students to participate in events with the incentive of earning points. Minga is pretty straightforward compared to other programs I've used, which were much harder to navigate. I also appreciate how effortless it is to monitor student movement on campus and manage hall passes. Overall, it simplifies so many processes for us and enhances school involvement. I'm not too happy with the point system in Minga. Right now, it requires an administrator or someone on the back end to manually redeem points to students, which feels cumbersome. I'd really like it to be more automated, where a raffle system could be implemented to let students manage points themselves. Also, Minga could definitely improve on data analysis, especially in terms of school-wide involvement and tracking specifics on student participation in various events. I like that Minga has become a one-stop shop for our needs. We use it in so many ways at Richland High School, including for transforming our PBIS system, improving communication with families, and automating our RTI system with FlexTime. It's been transformational, allowing us to automate many processes that used to take up a lot of time. I also appreciate how Minga streamlines everything by consolidating different platforms, which reduces strain on our teachers, students, and families. The FlexTime feature is incredible, and incorporating hall passes, IDs, communication, and PBIS into a single platform made it a no-brainer choice for us. I think it's come a long way since we started using it. A year ago, the data piece wasn't as great as I wanted it to be, but they've improved a lot. My most recent frustration has been with the platform being a bit glitchy as they update it. For instance, I posted a challenge on our homepage, and while it was running, I couldn't post another challenge. Also, once the challenge closed, I couldn't find it in the history. I think some of this is me working things out, but it's something I'd expect to work well, especially with the product's price point. It integrates well with our rostering system, which is very helpful for our Information Systems team. Also, feedback from the middle and high school campuses indicates that it has provided services well and consistently. The fact that Minga has worked directly with the campuses during support and/or onboarding has been a plus because it allowed the IT department to focus on other tasks. Sometimes their are glitches with different aspects as well as our team points can’t reset each quarter and reflect on the leaderboard so staff and students can not get a quick glance to see which team is in the lead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The product’s platform is customizable to our school’s needs. It’s also simple to use and implement, and the customer support has been very good.
