Feature for feature, Mindomo offers more than any single competitor I've tried and the Professional tier in particular is great value for consultants because guest editing lets external collaborators use premium features on your maps without buying their own seats (up to 5/10/15 simultaneous guests depending on package). There are a lot of plan tiers: Free, Premium, Professional, Team, Business, Edu Basic, Teacher, Classroom, School, plus a Lifetime desktop license. Working out which one matches your use case requires reading carefully for example, Gantt charts require Business, while guest editing is on Professional, and shared team folders are on Team. The feature density is impressive. Multiple topic shapes (including some unusual ones like fish head, cylinder, cloud, multiple documents), boundaries with labels grouping multiple topics, summaries that span branches, custom themes via the theme editor, RTL text support for Arabic/Hebrew/Persian, alphabetical sorting of subtopics, search and filter on Gantt charts. When a diagram gets really large (a few hundred topics with images and attachments), the loading time and interaction speed noticeably slow down. The team has explicitly worked on this I've seen "faster loading time for large diagrams" in multiple changelog entries and it's better than it was, but still the weak point. Mindomo facilitates organizing paramedical activities, research procedures, research program development, and group discussions in a visual way. The product itself is excellent. AI brainstorming, multiple diagram types, real-time collaboration, integrations with Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Evernote, there's a lot here. The mobile apps for iOS and Android are free and let you create diagrams that sync to the cloud. I've tried a lot of mind mapping tools and Mindomo's editor feels the most thoughtfully designed. The free tier is generous in some ways (unlimited diagrams) but caps each map at 40 topics on desktop and only allows 3 diagrams to sync online. For evaluating the tool, that's a real constraint, I hit the limit on my second project and had to upgrade to keep going. Some features that competitors include free (like printing) are paid-only here. Going from free to Premium is a fair price, but the jump felt steeper than expected. Mindomo is an excellent product with numerous features and options for mind mapping and brainstorming using artificial intelligence. You can access the application on your smartphone (iPhone and Android) and create diagrams that automatically sync with your account in the cloud if you are a minimum of 18 years old. The variety of layouts and themes is impressive, I never feel boxed into one diagram style. Boundaries with labels, summary nodes, multiple connection types (including the newer zigzag and single angle), and the ability to set custom fixed topic sizes give me real control over how a finished map looks. Notes support code blocks, math formulas, images dragged directly in, and quotes, which is rare in a mind map tool. Most AI features in productivity tools feel bolted on. Mindomo's actually fit the workflow: I can generate a complete diagram from a topic prompt, choose between brainstorm, SWOT, work breakdown, or general mind map styles, expand a single branch with related ideas, get explanations written into the notes section automatically, or convert a wall of text into a structured visual diagram. The auto language detection for multilingual input is the cherry on top. Translation of an entire diagram into another language is a feature I didn't know I needed until I used it. The thing that I enjoy about Mindomo is its intuitive feel and great functionality for mind mapping. It really lets users brainstorm effectively, especially with the added benefit of being able to collaborate in real time with others while doing so. My favorite features about Mindomo are being able to have everything organized visually (brainstorming, project planning, and managing projects) and having a design that is simple yet easy to navigate when creating mind maps. This enables me to quickly create mind maps without confusion. I also appreciate the collaboration feature, which makes it easier to work as part of a team, and I really enjoy having access to lots of useful AI tools that help me save time or generate new ideas quickly. While using the free version has some limitations when compared to the paid version, I think the only downside I notice is that the ability to work on a very large mind map becomes a little slow at times. I came for the mind mapping and stayed for the Presenter. You build a mind map, then create a sequence of slides by selecting topics and branches in the order you want to present them, and Mindomo turns it into an interactive presentation. During the presentation, the audience sees the map zoom and animate between focus points it's much more memorable than static PowerPoint slides. You can also export slides as images, PDFs (multiple page sizes including A4, A3, A2, Letter, Ledger, Widescreen, with transparent background option), or PowerPoint files for offline presenting.
