"Strong Email Protection with Powerful Investigation Tools"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

What I like most about Mimecast Advanced Email Security is that it gives you strong protection without making email support difficult. From an IT support point of view, the investigation tools are especially useful. If an email hasn’t arrived, I can look into what happened. Was it held? Blocked? Filtered for a reason? From there, I can take the right action and explain it clearly to the user. I also like that balance. You’re protecting people from threats like phishing, but you still need email to work smoothly day to day. Good security shouldn’t constantly get in the user’s way. What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

Some admin tasks can feel unintuitive at first, and troubleshooting message delivery can sometimes involve checking several areas to find the cause as well as clunky UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Protective and Easy to Use, But Needs More Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

I like how Mimecast Advanced Email Security is very helpful and protective. It's also very easy to use, which means I'm able to get protected at all times and ensure anyone I recommend it to finds it useful and easy to use as well. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

I felt that Mimecast Advanced Email Security was missing a variation of tools. I would appreciate additional features like extra detection for threats and scanning emails for potential attacks, which would enhance its overall capability and make it even more useful to me. "Effective Email Security with Room for Configuration Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

I like using Mimecast Advanced Email Security for both email security and email archiving. It effectively scans all emails, including attachments, which helps in blocking or holding emails with malicious links before they reach users, thereby protecting us from phishing attacks. I appreciate the option to release suspected emails blocked by Mimecast. During the initial setup, having vendor support made the configuration easy because they did all of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

I feel the configuration should be more user-friendly. It's a bit complicated to whitelist particular email accounts, like our GM or CEO. It's not easy to create rules for incoming and outgoing emails for individual users. There should be an option to whitelist users so that all outgoing for a particular user shouldn't be blocked, and emails from specific users should not be blocked for specified users. What do you like best about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

I use Mimecast Advanced Email Security daily at the company, and it really eliminates the problem of human error by blocking phishing attempts at the root before they reach the mail inbox, saving me hours of ticketing. I really like the peace of mind its real-time link analysis provides, as it stops fraudulent links and protects us against malicious modifications attackers might make after sending the email. The initial setup is also very simple and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Email Security with Comprehensive Filtering"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

I like how Mimecast Advanced Email Security effectively filters suspicious emails without needing much manual work. The threat detection and visibility are really useful for quickly checking and addressing potentially risky situations. I also appreciate the email filtering and threat detection because it catches a lot of suspicious messages and provides full visibility into what is being blocked. Additionally, attachment protection adds another layer of security, helping us handle suspicious links or files before they reach our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

The platform works well overall, but the admin interface can take time to become familiar with. Reporting could also be a little more flexible, especially when creating custom reports. I'd like to see a simpler admin interface with easier navigation. More customizable filters and report templates would make it easier to get the specific information we need. "Reliable, Intuitive Spam Filtering with Strong Weblink Protection"
5/5
What do you like best about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

I appreciate the intuitive spam filtering - this greatly reduces the junk mail in my inbox. The spam filter is reliable, and I receive a reminder email each day that I still have messages "on hold" in moderation.

I am glad there is an automated feature that allows me to block senders or domains, but also allows me to permit senders or domains. This is very helpful to reduce the time I spend moderating emails.

Another feature I really like is the protection with weblinks. The security with the weblinks also integrates with Teams, so I know I am covered in both Outlook and Teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

One downside is the time it takes to receive security codes for weblinks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mimecast Advanced Email Security: Effective Threat Blocking with AI Detection and DLP"
5/5
What do you like best about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

What I like most about Mimecast Advanced Email Security are its effective threat blocking, useful IT investigation tools, AI-driven detection, seamless integration, and Data Leak Prevention (DLP). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?

What I dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security is its complex, dated administrative interface, along with detection issues that can lead to false positives. On top of that, I’ve run into gaps in the documentation, which makes administration and troubleshooting harder than it needs to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
