The thing that's earned Edge a permanent spot as my default browser is how much it does without me needing to install a stack of extensions. Vertical Tabs alone changed my daily workflow. I usually have 30+ tabs open across research and internal tools, and moving them to a collapsible sidebar means I can actually read tab titles instead of squinting at a row of favicons. Collections is the other feature I lean on constantly. When I'm pulling together sources for a report, I drag pages and snippets into a Collection and export the whole thing to Excel or OneNote in one click, which saves me the copy-paste shuffle I used to do.

Performance has been noticeably better than what I was running before. Sleeping Tabs frees up memory on the tabs I'm not actively using, so my machine doesn't bog down even late in the day with everything still open. Startup and page loads feel quick, and the efficiency mode is a nice touch when I'm on battery.

The integrations are a real advantage in a Microsoft-heavy environment. Signing in once ties into my work account, and the tie-ins with Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive mean links and files just open where I expect them to. The built-in Copilot has been an unexpectedly useful addition. Being able to summarize a long article or PDF in the side pane, or ask a quick question without leaving the page, has cut down the number of tabs and tools I bounce between.

On top of that, the vertical PDF reader with inline annotation and read-aloud has replaced a separate PDF app for me entirely. For a browser that ships free with Windows, the ROI is hard to argue with, and rollout across the team was effortless since it was already installed and managed through existing Microsoft admin tools. My main gripe is the promotional clutter built into the browser. The default new tab page is packed with news and ads, and the repeated prompts to set Edge as default or try Bing feel pushy in a work setting. The feature set is bloated too. Shopping tools, rewards, and sidebar add-ons get enabled without asking, and turning them off means hunting through settings. A lighter default config with these as opt-in would help a lot.

On performance, memory use still climbs with a lot of tabs open, and Sleeping Tabs doesn't always kick in when I'd expect. The Copilot panel is useful but shifts placement between updates, so I have to relearn it. Onboarding is also thin, so genuinely useful features like Collections and Workspaces are easy to miss. The integration of Copilot AI is excellent. The interface is clean and well‑organized, websites load quickly, and I appreciate being able to view two tabs simultaneously. Password management is smooth, and having Edge settings integrated with my Outlook account is very convenient. I think the management of favorites could be improved. When you have a large number of bookmarked pages, it becomes difficult to keep them organized. I really like Microsoft edge as it is user friendly platform and one thing i'd like to share that i was working on multiple roles and had many tabs open for job descriptions, resumes, LinkedIn profiles and it was getting really confusing to manage everything. then i tried using the collections feature in Microsoft edge, and it actually made easy to group everything in one place and go back to it easily instead of jumping from one tab to another and it saved my time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That default news page and Bing search are frustrating. Whenever I open the browser, it unnecessarily opens the news page, which makes the experience very unpleasant. I open the browser to find something, but that default page distracts me and breaks my focus. Bing search also gives some unexpected results, whereas with Google, when I start typing, within about 5 letters it already shows the expected search keyword. The thing i dislike about Microsoft Edge is unlike chrome we have to sign in again and again using Google sign in method , it is time consuming to sign in again using email and password
