I loved the incredible attention to detail and scale for all of our spaces. I liked that I could upload and draw out our rooms to scale instead of paying the company to do it for me. I felt like I had more control over my account than some of the other options out there. **What do you dislike about MeetingMatrix?** I felt as though MM was not keeping up with updates as well as some of their competitors. I was looking for a system that could work well through the web instead of being installed on a local computer system. **Recommendations to others considering MeetingMatrix:** It is definitely worth a look to see if the product would serve you well in your organization. **What problems is MeetingMatrix solving and how is that benefiting you?** I no longer use Meeting Matrix. ### 2. It takes a lot of training to get employees up to speed. The buttons should be a little more helpful and descriptive. **Recommendations to others considering MeetingMatrix:** I would reccomend this program as it can be beneficial for diagram making. Ensure you train your employees fully on the program. **What problems is MeetingMatrix solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems we have solved have been being able to provide clients with a visual of the event they want. The benefits are clear communication between company and client. ### 3. You really have to learn your way around it to make diagrams quickly **Recommendations to others considering MeetingMatrix:** Have more user friendly buttons to guide new users **What problems is MeetingMatrix solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been able to solve problems of fitting a number of attendees in a conference room. The benefits are being able to try different styles to impress a client ### 4. Theres no built in extra features that we already have other software for, like checking in or table assignments **What do you dislike about MeetingMatrix?** It's expensive, and the company is hard to get ahold of for support. It is very user friendly. You are able to be as simple or elaborate with your room designs as you want. The tool bars are easy to use. You can create your own templates if there are room set-ups that you repeat often. **What do you dislike about MeetingMatrix?** There is an option to "grow" your tables (duplicate and multiply what is already on the diagram) and this feature does not always work correctly. It either gives you more tables or chairs that you needed or overlaps them. There is no stamp tool to number the tables. **Recommendations to others considering MeetingMatrix:** I would certainly recommend obtaining the newest version of Meeting Matrix. They are doing great things to make event planning a breeze. **What problems is MeetingMatrix solving and how is that benefiting you?** I would not be able to do my job effectively without this software. Without meeting matrix, I would be hand drawing tiny little tables and chairs all day. I love the printouts that I am able to give to customers and I appreciate the option to save as a .jpeg so that I can send them electronically. ### 11. Needs an interface update. I shouldn't say hard, its just clunky. I would like if it were easier to navigate to what kind of item you are trying to place with in the space. It also has a strange saving system. If it were easier to save instead of having to go through so many steps that would be easier as well. **Recommendations to others considering MeetingMatrix:** I would say to really have your folks trained on the software. I think when I came in to the position I am in, they told me to basically train myself on it. It is clunky if you don't know exactly how to move through the system. The trial part of the software isn't exactly easy to navigate on your own. But with the right training it may be useful for others. For us it is also hard because we are entertainment driven and the depth isn't good for what we need it for. **What problems is MeetingMatrix solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am doing lay outs for special events. I haven't really realized any benefits except being able to explain what the room should look like. ### 13. I really enjoy how easy and smooth it is to work with, especially for someone like me who not user friendly with most computer programs. The setup wizard makes it even more friendly to use when having to create diagrams on the spot for our setup team. **What do you dislike about MeetingMatrix?** The only issues I have is that sometimes I'll be working on a diagram and it will just shut down on me. The other issue is when I try to print the diagram, it doesn't always come out clearly the first time. **Recommendations to others considering MeetingMatrix:** Definitely go for it. It's worth the risk and you will definitely appreciate the changes. **What problems is MeetingMatrix solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it as a communication tool to our setup team. It gives them a better visual as to what the client is excepting. It also helps make sure the client and I are on the same page with how they expect to have their room set which in the long run avoids any tight turns or flips which can cause addtional fees to our clients. ### 14. Drag and drop and you are done. It's a simple program to use and you can hand it off to your Operations Team and know the venue will get set exactly how it needs to be set. A life-saver! **What do you dislike about MeetingMatrix?** It could use a facelift. Some of the user functions are out of date. The measuring tool needs work as its difficult to navigate at times. **What problems is MeetingMatrix solving and how is that benefiting you?** This has saved hours of trying to plot a venue out! ### 15. The assumption is that it will always work, or that we want to have additional software added. **What problems is MeetingMatrix solving and how is that benefiting you?** The concept is a great one, to have dynamic and high-quality floor plans for event planners and hotels.
