## About ThreatDown
AI has changed what businesses need to protect and how fast they need to respond. Ungoverned AI tools leak data through identities and API keys nobody's watching, while AI-driven attacks compress exploit windows from months to hours and generate the alert volume of dozens of attackers at once — a scale problem no team can staff its way out of. ThreatDown meets AI-scale risk with an AI-native platform built for more than the endpoint — one lightweight agent, one console, no tool sprawl. AI visibility flags every AI tool in use and blocks sensitive data before it reaches the model. ThreatDown ITDR monitors every identity, human and non-human, to catch compromise before attackers act. And Endpoint and email security stop attacks where they start - on the device and in the inbox. On top, ThreatDown MDR pairs AI-powered triage, with elite analysts who respond 24/7, detecting threats in a median of 5 minutes and containing them in 19. It's enterprise-grade protection at AI speed, without the headcount or complexity.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

Threatdown are constantly adding new tools & features to better protect the business allowing us to unify more of our security stack into one pane of glass. This allows for more effective security management and reduces strain on IT resources.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

Enabling the ability to deploy policy based on username rather than endpoint would be huge, some users may use more than one machine, or get a replacement machine, policies then need to be manually reapplied, if the policy was mapped by username, this would stop the need for manual reassignment

**Recommendations to others considering ThreatDown:**

Very good system overall, a few things to be tweaked such as asset tagging, allowing users to be assigned to PC's to help identify, More options to react to threats on custom scans.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With MB we now have enterprise grade AV with high visibility of what is happening on our network. Before we were using standalone products which meant we had to run around quite often when a threat hit, we also had threats going unnoticed as standalone products did not report to us. MB has solved these issues and allowed us to react and protect our users with ease.

**Official Response from Angela Kelleher:**

> Hi Daniel
Thank you very much for the excellent rating and constructive feedback. We are delighted to hear Malwarebytes is protecting your users globally, and with ease!
Best regards

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

Threatdown is an important tool used in securing our network. The ease of use in administering the workstations and servers in everything from detections to updating and vulnerabilities greatly assists us in securing the network. The interruption to users is very minimal and no performance issues are caused by the software. The cloud administrator interface is excellent in allowing me to monitor the network remotely from even my phone. And we have only had a few false positives in the past years running the software. It has however stopped thousands of infected websites and malware files as well as.a targeted ransomware attack. I would highly recommend Threatdown as a tool in securing your businesses network as part of a cybersecurity organizational plan.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

Only problem we have encountered rarely is false positives which can quickly be ratified with the cloud control panel. For any other issues rarely encountered support has been very helpful.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threatdown is used as a tool to help our organization meet PCI DSS compliance through endpoint protection, identification of vulnerabilities, and reporting. It has been a very valuable tool in meeting compliance.

**Official Response from Grace B:**

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

I love the way Threatdown is always adding new features to their product. Matter of fact, I signed our district up for MDR services this year so I could get that extra peace of mind in knowing someone is watching my network even when I am not. It's also not just easy to use.... It works!

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

Nothing that I know of. Just keep doing what you're doing and I'll always be a devoted customer!

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is finding hidden spyware, malware and trojans that my previous product did not. It even thwarted a ransomware attack in my school district recently! It proactively blocks my end users from accessing websites and files that would result in a malware infection. So happy with this product!

**Official Response from Angela Kelleher:**

> Hi Chuck!
We are thrilled to hear that Malwarebytes EDR has been a game changer for your school district! We appreciate your feedback on ThreatDown's lightweight, effectiveness, ease of deployment, and user-friendliness. It's great to hear that it has already saved your district from a potential ransomware attack. Thank you for sharing your positive experience!

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

I love ThreatDown for its ease of use and intuitive GUI. The ability to proactively scan all endpoints in the company for malware and outdated software is great. I find it incredibly useful that I can patch all computers and servers with just two clicks of the mouse. The software and OS patching features are something I use just about every day, and they work well.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

It doesn't patch all software right now.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can proactively scan all endpoints for malware and outdated software. Patching computers and servers is quick with just 2 clicks. However, it doesn't patch all software at the moment.

We have tried many solutions in the past, and this one seems to be the most user friendly out of them all. The central management aspect is key for us, and this one works very well. Constant new and useful features. Updates are constantly rolling out. Quarterly check-ins are a help too.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

Nothing to complain about at this time.

**Recommendations to others considering ThreatDown:**

Whether you are a small business looking for a total solution, or a large business who needs a company wide solution. This will work for you.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using this to protect our clients in an online, open web space. It has saved us from many attempts of downloaders and users clicking on fishing emails. Life-saving for an admin.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

Malwarebytes is super user friendly which saves our team a lot of time on training. It allows us to quickly find answers to questions that we ask internally as well as questions our clients have for us. We don't spend 20 minutes trying to find more information on a detection we received, we're able to find it immediately.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

As we grow as a company, we are finding that Malwarebytes doesn't integrate as well with RMM providers, and that has proven a challenge for us. We'd love it if Malwarebytes would focus more on RMM integration so that it can work seamlessly across an ever-expanding IT infrastructure.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Malwarebytes solves the problem that many remote teams face: security. With Malwarebytes we are easily able to have systems in place that will protect our devices from the other threats out there without compromising the performance of the device. Malwarebytes is an application that easily runs in the background and most of our users don't notice that it is even there until it has to step in and help them out with cybersecurity.
Malwarebytes not only benefits us internally, but it also benefits the clients that we provide MSP services to. Malwarebytes saves us hours through their Managed Detection and Response and Patch Management. We don't have to employ a security expert to handle every detection on a device because Malwarebytes' team of experts takes care of those for us through their Managed Detection and Response module.

**Official Response from Angela Kelleher:**

> Good day,

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Malwarebytes! We're thrilled to hear that our solution has made managing devices remotely and ensuring security a seamless process for your team. Your feedback is invaluable to us.
We appreciate your constructive criticism regarding the need for more visibility into security trends and suspicious activity on specific devices. I will share this feedback with our product development team to see if we can enhance our reporting capabilities to address this concern.
If you have any further suggestions or encounter any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to support you every step of the way. Thank you for choosing Malwarebytes as your trusted endpoint detection and response system!

 ### 7. Protection for the things that matter the most!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

Their new Email and IDTR protection modules expand on their comprehensive offerings to ensure that more than just your endpoints are protected from new and emerging threats. Couple that with regular account reviews with their support team to ensure you're getting the most from the system and you've got comprehensive cover!

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

Nothing really to improve on, it does what you need when you need it.

**Recommendations to others considering ThreatDown:**

Try it, it's free! You'll see the benefits, and I'm sure you'll agree it's one of the best offerings out on the market. Dont just use it in the office either use their home product and get the full picture on how it can protect you both at work and at home.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The protection Threatdown offers over competative products is second to none, I used to use it alongside other suites but Threatdown was and is predominatnly first to detect and remove threats so it became my only endpoint suite. I can now rest safe in the knowledge that all my clients are protected from Malware / Ransomware and Exploits and that regardless of what network they're connected to all being fileted as per my companys DNS policies. The problem for any IT manager is peace of mind and whilst we'll never truly get that MWB goes a long way to helping. Additionally they now protect mobile devices so this comprehensive defence now extends far beyond just the traditional desktop/laptop/server installs and now stops malware dead at the extremities of the business regardless of what network they're connected to.

**Official Response from Angela Kelleher:**

> Hi John
Thanks for rating us five stars, we couldn’t be happier! Seriously, you made our day, and we really appreciate it!
Best regards,
Angela

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

Our School district saw the need to have EDR and MDR software installed and allowed us to install it throughout our campus. It gives our district peace of mind to know our network is monitored 24 hours a day. The interface is also easy to use.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

The one thing I dislike like to do is monitor all the patches updates for software and windows updates

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring my Network. The MDR is allowing me to enjoy weekends and holidays, knowing my network is in good hands

**Official Response from Angela Kelleher:**

> Hi Clurman!
We're thrilled to hear that ThreatDown's EDR and MDR software has provided your school district with peace of mind and easy network monitoring. **What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

Very comprehensive, I am able to see what's going on with my servers at a glance.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

There are no downsides to ThreatDown that I have found so far. If I had to complain, it would be that I had to create a few exceptions to the detections, but even that makes me feel more secure.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatDown to monitor the company servers. It makes me feel much more confident in our security than an unmonitored piece of software.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

What stands out most is how well it balances strong security with ease of management. After deploying it in a small school environment, I’ve found it to be one of the most straightforward endpoint security solutions to implement and maintain. The cloud-based management console makes it simple to monitor and manage devices across multiple campuses, and the lightweight agent helps minimize performance impact on both staff and student devices.

ThreatDown provides excellent protection against malware, ransomware, and other modern threats without requiring a large cybersecurity team to run it day to day. In K–12 settings where IT resources are often limited, I’ve especially valued the smooth deployment process, reliable threat detection, and the ability to respond quickly to incidents from a centralized dashboard. Overall, it delivers enterprise-level protection in a package that remains practical and manageable for school districts.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

While I've had a positive experience with ThreatDown overall, there are a few areas where I think it could be improved. I've found that the reporting and analytics are sometimes less detailed than what is available in some higher-end enterprise security platforms. There can also be occasional false positives that require review and whitelisting, particularly in educational environments where specialized instructional software is used. In addition, while the platform is easy to manage, some advanced configuration options and investigation tools are not as robust as those found in more mature EDR solutions. Finally, as organizations grow and security needs become more complex, some districts may find themselves wanting deeper integrations and more granular controls. These are generally minor concerns, but they are areas where I believe the platform could continue to improve.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatDown is helping us solve several challenges that are common in K-12 technology environments. With thousands of devices used by staff and students, it provides centralized visibility and protection against malware, ransomware, phishing attempts, and other cybersecurity threats without requiring a large security team to manage it. One of the biggest benefits I've seen is the reduction in time spent responding to infections and security incidents. The platform's automated threat detection and remediation capabilities help stop issues before they spread, allowing our IT staff to focus on supporting instruction and district operations rather than constantly dealing with compromised devices. ThreatDown's cloud-based management also makes it easier to monitor and manage endpoints across multiple campuses from a single dashboard, improving efficiency and helping us maintain a stronger security posture while operating with limited resources.

**Official Response from Grace B:**

> Hi!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—we really appreciate you being a ThreatDown customer.

It’s great to hear that ThreatDown is helping your team deliver strong security while remaining easy to deploy and manage across your school environment. We’re glad the centralized cloud management, lightweight agent, and automated threat detection are helping your team protect staff and student devices while reducing the burden on limited IT resources. We also appreciate your thoughtful feedback around reporting, advanced investigation capabilities, and integrations—insights like this are valuable as we continue to enhance the platform.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

I appreciate that ThreatDown continues to operate efficiently in the background without slowing down computers or disrupting daily tasks. The experience remains smooth, reliable, and unobtrusive.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

At this time, I have not encountered any significant issues. The product performs well and meets our organization’s security needs. Continued enhancements to reporting and management features would further improve the overall experience.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the primary goals of Malwarebytes for Business is to protect endpoints, including desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices, from various malware threats. By actively scanning and monitoring endpoints, it prevents malware infections, ensuring the integrity and security of critical business data and applications.

 ### 12. Reliable and Streamlined Endpoint Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bartosz B. | Inżynier systemu, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through LinkedIn

**Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal incentive as thanks for completing this review.

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

ThreatDown provides a very intuitive interface that makes day-to-day security monitoring fast and efficient. The deployment process is smooth, updates roll out seamlessly, and the platform consolidates multiple threat insights into one dashboard. Its lightweight agent runs quietly in the background while still offering deep visibility, which saves time and improves response accuracy.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

Reporting customization could be more flexible, as exporting detailed logs sometimes requires additional steps. Integration with certain third-party tools is available but not always as straightforward as expected, leading to some extra configuration work. A few advanced features take longer to master, especially for new administrators, which slightly slows down the initial learning curve.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatDown is helping us reduce the time and complexity of endpoint protection by centralizing detection, response, and reporting in a single platform. It solves the problem of fragmented visibility—rather than juggling multiple tools, we can quickly see threats, their severity, and recommended actions in one place. Automated remediation has cut down the manual effort our team used to spend on isolating or cleaning infected endpoints, which directly reduces downtime.

The biggest benefit is efficiency: incidents are resolved faster, analysts spend less time on repetitive triage tasks, and overall risk exposure is significantly lowered. It also improves confidence during audits since logs and compliance reporting are easier to generate and verify.

**Official Response from Grace B:**

> Hi Bartosz,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—we really appreciate you being a ThreatDown customer.
It’s great to hear that the intuitive interface and centralized dashboard are helping your team monitor and respond to threats more efficiently. We’re glad the lightweight agent, smooth deployment, and automated remediation are saving time and reducing complexity across your environment. We also appreciate your feedback around reporting, integrations, and the learning curve for advanced features—insights like this are valuable as we continue to enhance the platform and experience.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

ThreatDown has been very helpful, particularly with its patch management capabilities. The ability to deploy updates and remotely restart computers directly from the console when a software update is pending is extremely efficient and saves significant administrative time. The centralized management interface simplifies oversight and reduces manual intervention. At this time, I have not experienced any issues or complaints with the platform.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

One area where ThreatDown could improve is user communication functionality. Currently, there is no built in feature that allows administrators to send direct messages or notifications to end users from the console. Having the ability to push alerts, maintenance notifications, or security related messages to users would enhance administrative efficiency and improve overall incident response coordination.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatDown is solving key challenges related to endpoint security, patch management, and centralized visibility. It allows us to manage threat detection, remediation, and software updates from a single console, which significantly reduces administrative overhead. Automated patch deployment helps minimize vulnerabilities and lowers our overall attack surface, while remote remediation capabilities enable faster incident response without needing physical access to devices. As a result, we benefit from improved operational efficiency, stronger security posture, reduced downtime, and better overall control of our endpoint environment.

**Official Response from Grace B:**

> Hi Jean,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—we really appreciate you being a ThreatDown customer.
It’s great to hear that ThreatDown is helping streamline patch management and reduce administrative overhead through centralized control and remote capabilities. **What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

We have recently integrated MDR (Managed Detection and Response) and it has been a godsend. While I can still use the Nebula console to manage my endpoints, with MDR I'm less worried about missing anything that might cause harm to our company. They also revamped the Nebula console so everything looks and feels more intuitive.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

I still don't have a GUI for schedule scans, but I have been told it is getting worked on.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping us safe from exterior attacks and preventing our end users from allowing attacks to happen (can't monitor everyone manually, so Malwarebytes really helps in that sense), teaching me (and from me to our end users) to be a better technology user (following safe practices posted in their reports and insights, helping others follow suit, etc.), protecting our clients data when we request a backup of their data (personal health information), peace of mind in not forgetting those safe practices mentioned.

**Official Response from Angela Kelleher:**

> Hi Roberto!
We're happy to hear that you find our customer support easy to contact and appreciate the follow-ups. We'll certainly take your feedback about the scheduled scan GUI and Malwarebytes removal into consideration for future improvements. It's great to know that ThreatDown is helping to keep you safe from exterior attacks and teaching you and your end users to be better technology users. Thank you for sharing your experience and for choosing ThreatDown!

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

As a School District, we don't have the resources to waste time on malware issues. We love Threatdown for protecting our Macs and PC's. It is such a time-saver and a comfort to know that we are protected.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

The product has exceeded our expectations. We have enjoyed eight years of fabulous service.

**Recommendations to others considering ThreatDown:**

Just do it!! You will not be disappointed!! Contact a Sales person and ask to see their product demonstration. You will be impressed and see why I think Malwarebytes is such a great product.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are getting a total solution for our Macintosh and Dell computers. We are noticing a drastic decrease in problems since we started using Malwarebytes. We had all kinds of issues with Avast and Symantec. We are seeing exploits blocked so teachers are not calling with all the pop-up problems and malware messages. Also, we are using the Malwarebytes Chrome extension to protect our browser. They also have a free malware blocker plugin for most web browsers. There is a wonderful online training that explains how to manage from the cloud. After five years we can honestly say we are still very very happy.

**Official Response from Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Mobile:**

> We're always looking to improve and are ecstatic to learn we've exceeded your expectations, David!

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

The new updates sometimes slows down the product, but all in all it still does what it's supposed

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

Too much reliance on AI is causing the app to lose it's draw factor.

**Recommendations to others considering ThreatDown:**

The tools that Malwarebytes provides is good. There is a tool that lets you know how many installs have been made, and which machines have been hit the most by spyware or malware. If you keep tabs on this, you will feel a lot safer about your network.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using the tool to protect our users from dangerous sites. We receive quite a lot of spam through emails, especially phishing emails. Malwarebytes catches these phishing attempts and most of the time will report it to us. The benefits have been wonderful. We can go to bed at night knowing that our systems are safe.

**Official Response from Angela Kelleher:**

> Hi Tony
Thank you for the five star review, we really appreciate it!
And going to bed at night knowing your systems are safe is exactly what we aim to do, glad to have your back!

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

I find that ThreatDown is a very good solution for macOS clients to enhance security. It's good that users are not constantly bothered with notifications about scans being performed. ThreatDown works in the background and only requires the user's attention when it is really necessary. This makes it a valuable tool for me. Additionally, the initial setup is simple and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

The client on macOS does not yet offer all the features available on Windows. Additionally, it is only localized in English, and there are no notifications, reports, or other things in other languages. Everything is in English. This is very disadvantageous for some customers.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate ThreatDown for the security on macOS clients, without bothering the users with unnecessary scan notifications.

**Official Response from Angela Kelleher:**

> Hi Johannes,

Thank you for your positive feedback on ThreatDown's feature set and performance on Macs. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of browser support on macOS. We are actively working on enhancing our product to provide a more comprehensive solution for your security needs.

Many thanks,

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

I use ThreatDown to protect end user devices from malware, ransomware, viruses, and for patch deployment and updates. I love the ease of use and the seamless user interface. ThreatDown is intuitive and easy to use with its web interface, and the end user application is simple and lightweight, not hogging a lot of computer resources. I love that it's basically invisible to the end users and how easy it is to manage and push out configuration changes, updates, and patch management. The management is easy and straightforward in the web management portal, with easy-to-follow guides, best practices, and tutorials that make setup and configuration seamless, fast, and easy. I appreciate that the lightweight application doesn't disturb end users or eat up their device resources, as it's one of the few protection suites where we see virtually no impact on the end user device resources. ThreatDown is simple and easy to set up and deploy, and I couldn't be more pleased with the ease of install and configuration. We migrated from Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security to ThreatDown several years ago and could not be more pleased, having far fewer instances of users getting compromised.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

I have no issues with ThreatDown at this time. I am very happy with the product suite and the offerings in it. If anything could be improved, I think adding some options for the end user application to run scans and custom scans would be beneficial but are certainly not deal breakers.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatDown to protect devices from malware and ransomware while ensuring our network is secure against threats. Its intuitive interface makes management easy, and it operates seamlessly without affecting device resources, safeguarding against user compromise.

**Official Response from Grace B:**

> Hi Mike,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—we really appreciate you being a ThreatDown customer.
It’s great to hear that ThreatDown is delivering strong protection while remaining lightweight and easy to manage across your environment. We’re glad the intuitive interface, seamless deployment, and minimal impact on end user devices are helping your team stay secure without added complexity. It’s also great to hear about your successful migration and the reduction in user compromise—that kind of impact is exactly what we aim for. We appreciate your suggestion around adding more end-user scan options as well—feedback like this helps inform how we continue to improve the platform.

Low impact on resources, tracks vulnerabilities easily If you can use ThreatDown to also deploy packages, I think it's great value, definitely better than anything 365 can do.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

Threatdown is often buggy and tier 1 support is worthless, you only get decent help once your ticket gets escalated.

This not only gives us peace of mind but helps us stay on budget by reducing the total cost of ownership. I also appreciate the simple, quick setup process, which is well backed with instructions. Another reason I enjoy ThreatDown is its cost-effectiveness compared to our previous solution, Symantec Endpoint Protection.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

I think the software suits all of MY needs. To someone else there may be features missing but for me, only using a fraction of the capabilities, its everything I want.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

I use ThreatDown for patching, monitoring, and securing endpoints. It makes the patching of systems easy for me and shows which systems have vulnerabilities that need to be corrected. I like that it allows me to sleep at night knowing that the system is being monitored and if any malware or ransomware attempts are made, they will be taken care of. It allows me to focus on other things in the environment while knowing that the security and updates on endpoint systems are being taken care of. ThreatDown is also great for protecting against websites that have infections and blocking things from coming into my network. The setup was super easy, and the Managed Services make everything else super easy too.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

IT is a bit too restrictive on MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Sometimes it does not like the formulas and can be too restrictive to the point that I turned off the setting for restricting MS Office.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatDown makes patching easy, identifies systems with vulnerabilities, and lets me focus on other tasks by handling security and updates. It protects against infected websites and blocks threats, giving me peace of mind.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

ThreatDown is a fantastic product that we use daily for around 27 clients. Across our client base, we use the full range of ThreatDown products, including Email Security, DNS Filtering, Patch Management, EDR, MDR, and more.

Customer support is quick to respond and resolves issues as efficiently as any support desk can. The product itself is easy to deploy and manage, with clear and flexible policies available through the OneView portal.

While we don’t currently use many integrations, I did set up the Microsoft Teams integration for a period, and it was straightforward to configure and worked as expected.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

Sadly, ThreatDown is sometimes too effective and can be a little over-zealous with its blocking. We have also experienced some performance issues on end-user machines; however, ThreatDown support has been excellent and is working closely with us to identify and resolve the problems.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatDown solves the challenge of providing comprehensive, layered security across our client base without adding unnecessary complexity. It gives us strong protection across email security, DNS filtering, patch management, EDR, and MDR from a single platform, which significantly reduces risk for our clients and simplifies day-to-day management for our team.

The benefit to us is twofold. Firstly, it allows us to deliver a high level of security coverage consistently across around 27 clients, using centrally managed policies within the OneView portal. Secondly, it gives us confidence that threats are being actively detected and blocked, sometimes even proactively — which, while occasionally over-zealous, ultimately reinforces the strength of the protection.

Where we’ve encountered performance or blocking issues, ThreatDown support has been highly responsive and effective in helping us identify root causes and resolve them quickly. This combination of strong protection, ease of management, and reliable vendor support has made ThreatDown a core part of our security offering and has materially improved our clients’ overall security posture.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

It streamlines everything into one place and makes it much easier for our small team to monitor and manage a large number of devices. Installation on new devices is super simple, integration is was ridiculously easy, there isn't a single day that goes by that it isn't being used, and every member of their support team has been a class act. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

I don't really have any complaints about Threatdown. I guess the UI could use a little bit of work to make things simpler?

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team isn't a large one, and Threatdown has really taken a lot off our shoulders in regard to keeping an eye on everything. When you have hundreds of endpoints, it can be overwhelming to manage things and sometimes things get missed. With Threatdown, I have a team of people helping me watch things, and they take a proactive approach when threats, or potential threats, appear. The DNS filter is amazing, and I really enjoy being able to manage endpoint updates with the service as well.

**Official Response from Angela Kelleher:**

We're thrilled to hear that ThreatDown has been such a valuable asset to your team! Thank you for the positive feedback and for highlighting the ease of installation and integration, as well as the proactive support from our team. We appreciate your suggestion about the UI and will definitely take it into consideration for future improvements.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

Malwarebytes is very simple to use, and the interface looks clean and gets updated often. It’s also easy to roll out across all our computers, and it alerts me right away if something suspicious is happening on a machine. The Managed Detection and Response service has honestly helped me sleep better because I know someone is watching our systems around the clock.
Compared to other tools we’ve used, Malwarebytes has been more effective and much easier to manage. It really feels like a “set it and forget it” solution. On the rare occasions when I’ve needed support, their team has responded quickly and solved the issue without any hassle.
We also recently added their Email Security service, and it’s been working great. We’re seeing very few false positives, and managing it is extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

The products is expensive but is in line with similar products and I am happy with all the features I receive with it.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Malwarebytes MDR is the best at detecting malicious programs and their MDR watches over our users 24/7/365

 ### 29. Good, highly-detailed visibility into managed systems and their security health.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

ThreatDown provides a single site where security software for Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, and iOS devices can be managed. Not only is the state of the protection agent easily ascertained, but information about the hardware, software, and running state of the system are also available. Agents can be easily configured and installed via EXE, MSI, PKG, and DMG, as well as through download links and store apps. Customer support is quick to respond and has quality, detailed answers, in the rare event you need to use their services.

This software has support for differing detection profiles, with the ability to exclude certain executables (e.g.: cryptomining apps, when they are authorized and not part of some external attack) from detection, on selected systems.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

iOS and Android devices are often difficult to identify, and individual Windows/Linux/MacOS devices are identified only by system name, which is often random. iOS devices frequently show as uncontactable in the web console, even when actively in use. Care must be taken, frequently, to rename systems in the web console, to know which ones they actually are. This is most important when default system names are not specifically altered ahead of time, prior to agent installation.

Mac devices require admin permission for system settings alterations to allow the software to run correctly. It would be lovely if this happened automatically, as part of the installation process, but it doesn't. Expect to take 2-4 extra steps once the basic installation is complete before Mac OS is working with ThreatDown properly. Most of these steps will be spelled out when you install, but when updates require new permissions, you'll need directly console access, a savvy user, or some sort or remote access/assistance package to get it working properly again.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

I like the simplicity of using ThreatDown. It's very easy to understand where the menus are, how to act on the hosts, and recognize which software is updated or needs security updates. I also appreciate that it immediately gives me information on security patches and those recommended by the community, allowing me to quickly understand what to pay immediate attention to and what can be postponed.

Customer service and Managed threat detection. They’re always there, looking out for us and taking care of things, even when we aren’t. Assistance with features, Nebula, or configuration is always easy to get quickly.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

Vulnerability alerts: we sometimes receive alerts for vulnerabilities that don’t yet have a patch available in Threatdown. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it does create extra work to confirm whether a patch exists, apply it if it does, or otherwise ignore the alert until Threatdown is able to patch it.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Endpoint security and patch management are handled well. It gives us real peace of mind on the security front by reliably reaching all of our endpoints—both in our offices and abroad—so they stay patched and secure.

**What do you like best about ThreatDown?**

Having used Malwarebytes’ free version since 2005 and later its paid offerings, I recently upgraded to ThreatDown to protect our clinical systems more comprehensively.

From the outset, ThreatDown impressed me with:

-Unified Management: One console to deploy and manage across endpoints; servers and workstations alike.

-Impressive Detection & Response: The EDR component identifies and interrupts malicious behaviors that traditional AV might miss.

-Simplified Security for IT-constrained setups: As an admin who juggles many tasks, I appreciate how the platform emphasizes ease of use and rapid deployment.

-Advanced features beyond malware removal: These include vulnerability assessment, patch management, device control, browser and phishing protections, and firewall management - all in the paid bundles.

In practice, deploying ThreatDown meant I could standardize on a single platform for endpoint security, phishing protection, and incident response—reducing complexity and giving me better visibility across our environment.

If I were to sum up: ThreatDown feels like the logical next step after years of trusting Malwarebytes for manual cleanup, now with full proactive protection and enterprise features. It gives me confidence we’re better covered for modern threats.

**What do you dislike about ThreatDown?**

I have encountered a few minor issues related to support.

**What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main use for this product is Endpoint Protection, and I find myself relying on its management features more and more often.
