"Flexible Multi-SMTP Email Marketing With Powerful Segmentation and Great Value"
5/5
What do you like best about MailBluster?

MailBluster is an email marketing platform that distinguishes itself through a multi-SMTP architecture, allowing users to connect their own sending infrastructure via Amazon SES, Postmark, Mailgun, or SMTP2GO. This flexibility is a significant technical advantage because it means I am not locked into a single provider. If deliverability or pricing changes with one SMTP service, I can switch or test alternatives without migrating to an entirely new email platform. The recent addition of Postmark, Mailgun, and SMTP2GO as supported providers beyond the original Amazon SES integration demonstrates active development and responsiveness to user needs.

The campaign builder offers both a drag-and-drop email composer and raw HTML editing capabilities. The drag-and-drop editor produces responsive HTML newsletters without requiring any coding knowledge, while the HTML mode gives full control over template structure for more complex designs. I have found the drag-and-drop interface to be intuitive and quick for standard newsletter layouts, with content blocks snapping into place logically and preview rendering accurately across desktop and mobile views.

List segmentation is handled with depth and precision. I can target and retarget subscribers based on behavioral data: who opened or did not open a specific email, who clicked a certain link, or what products they purchased. This level of granularity allows for highly targeted campaigns without needing a separate marketing automation platform. Combined with custom fields and tag-based organization, the segmentation engine provides enough flexibility to build complex audience segments for personalized messaging at scale.

A/B testing is natively supported, allowing me to set up two variations of a campaign and measure which performs better in terms of opens, clicks, or conversions. The implementation is straightforward, and results are clearly displayed so I can make data-driven decisions about subject lines, content, and send times without guesswork.

Real-time tracking and reporting cover all essential metrics: opens, clicks, bounces, complaints, and eCommerce conversions, visualized through charts and data tables. The tracking updates in near real-time, which is critical when monitoring campaign performance during time-sensitive sends. The reporting interface is clean and does not require navigating through multiple screens to find the data I need.

The double opt-in feature is well-implemented and helps build qualified lead lists while maintaining strong sender reputation. This is particularly important when working with SMTP providers that enforce strict complaint rate thresholds, as confirmed subscribers are significantly less likely to mark emails as spam.

The pricing model is remarkably transparent and affordable. The Pro plan costs 60 USD per year plus 0.60 USD per 1,000 emails sent through MailBluster, with the SMTP provider's fees billed separately. For high-volume senders, this structure results in dramatically lower costs compared to traditional per-subscriber pricing models used by competitors. The Starter plan offers a free tier with up to 3,000 emails and unlimited leads, which is generous for testing or very small lists. The Executive plan at 120 USD per year adds dedicated support, 3-year data retention, unlimited automation workflows, and a 5% yearly reward on email sending costs.

The developer API is RESTful and well-documented, supporting programmatic subscriber management, campaign triggering, and event tracking. This makes integration into custom applications, CRMs, or backend systems feasible without depending solely on the dashboard. The ability to mass add, delete, or unsubscribe leads via API or bulk operations is a time-saver when managing large lists that change frequently.

Bounce, complaint, and unsubscribe handling is automated and works seamlessly with the connected SMTP provider's feedback loops. This ensures list hygiene is maintained passively without manual intervention, protecting sender reputation over time.

The platform supports multiple brand users and roles, which is essential for agencies or teams managing email marketing for several brands from a single account. Each brand can have its own configuration, templates, and subscriber lists while being managed under one umbrella. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Email Marketing Tool at an Unbeatable Price!"
5/5
What do you like best about MailBluster?

I've been using MailBluster for two years, and it's honestly one of the best-kept secrets in email marketing. What impressed me the most is the cost-efficiency—you only pay for what you send, and it's incredibly affordable compared to most other tools I have tried before.

The platform is lightweight, fast, and easy to use, even for someone who isn't very tech-savvy. Setting up campaigns is simple, the UI is clean, and the email delivery rates have been excellent.

One of my favorite features is the Amazon SES integration, which lets you scale email campaigns without breaking the bank. MailBluster also offers automation features and audience segmentation, which helps a lot with targeting the right people.

Support is responsive and helpful, and the development team seems to be actively improving the platform with useful updates.

If you're a startup, small business, or even a solo or big marketer looking for a reliable, budget-friendly solution, I highly recommend giving MailBluster a try. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MailBluster?

Literally nothing. It perfectly fits my needs. While there are still a few features they’re working on, overall, it does the job really well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MailBluster?

When I tried Zoho first, the options in designing the email were comparatively more. I find Zoho design features more easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing Amazon SES Companion"
5/5
What do you like best about MailBluster?

Easy integration with Amazon SES. Much better if you already have EC2. It's great to setup campaigns and comes with their own drag and drop email creator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MailBluster?

Maybe a good idea to provide a yearly and monthly plans rather than usage based pricing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Once is connected with AWS, is the best!"
5/5
What do you like best about MailBluster?

Works as well as Mailchimp, but at 1/10th of the cost (once is already configured with AWS). It's worth the time and effort to get it running at first, really! Once its set all up and running (takes a domain verification and a 24-hour AWS review) its really THE BEST option in the whole market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MailBluster?

You have to be very careful to save changes when editing the content: you have to save in the editor AND in the campaign to really store them right. And, please make sure only one member of the team edits the content at once (it rolls back both changes when it gets confused). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Email Marketing Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about MailBluster?

The best part about Mailbluster is that they provide a very seamless and effortless email sending experience. They also charge less as compared to other services. One thing that they were lacking was the template part but I noticed recently that they added a few pre-designed templates too so that was also a very very good move. I even like the reporting system which is very very detailed and the UI is just elegant. I have seen that they have the WordPress signup form integration haven't used it yet. I guess that would be amazing too. They are doing amazing and I would love to stick with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MailBluster?

There is nothing that I dislike about Mailbluster yet. However, if I have to necessarily point one out then it would be the lack of pre-designed templates. This is only if I have to mention something. I know they will add more templates but I don't have anything in mind that I dislike about Mailbluster. I have been using it since more than a year and I haven't even contacted the support team yet. I am not a tech-savvy person and this shows how easy it is to operate. What do you like best about MailBluster?

The quality service which I have received at first my domain was shutdown by Amazon SES. I have tried my very best to get my account back but in vain. Then Saima Seth helped me getting my domain back and helped my email marketing campaign go smoothly without any issue. Now I can 100% blindfolded trust them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MailBluster?

A bit of moderate prices than AWS pricing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
