We definitely are more organized when using Lolly Law. The journal feature is definitely helpful as well and keeps all of us in the loop when multiple people are working on a case. **What do you dislike about LollyLaw?** There are several redundant features that seem to make more work for us. I would really like to see Lolly Law integrate with our USCIS account. That way, we aren't having to enter receipts in two different places. The form filling is very clunky and would be made better with a screen feature instead of having to use up and down arrows. **Recommendations to others considering LollyLaw:** The best thing to do is think about what would make a difference to your law firm. If communication could be improved, then definitely consider Lolly Law as it has great management features. **What problems is LollyLaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Communication is definitely the most helpful problem. Anyone of us can pick up a case and see where we are with it and what work has been done. It's great because we never have to ask others where we are with a case and waste valuable time trying to figure it out. **Official Response from John Levesque:** > Thank you for taking the time to provide us your feedback. It is very much appreciated! Since you mentioned the journal, I thought I would let you know that we have a new design coming that will make it even better. I think you will like it. For USCIS integration, I will check to see what their service has for APIs. And for forms, at the top of the screen are back/next buttons to go through the form pages, but there is also a way to see all the pages and jump to the one you want, like in Adobe Reader. It is in a menu on the left of the screen when filling out forms. Let me know if that helps. ### 2. In a time crunch it’s easy to find all details of a file. Especially during hearings or consultations. New clients are easy to sign up as it’s a easy transition from just a contact to a matter. Merging matters are also a breeze and not confusing at all. We are a small office with a ton of work. We have multiple families who refer us to their own family and friends and merging them together has never been easier. **What do you dislike about LollyLaw?** That I have to login every time I’m on a different device. I’d like to stay logged into my devices and only be logged out once I click to do so. I have a laptop, cell phone, iPad and desk top. I choose either one to work from and it’s a hassle logging in EVERYTIME. I try and multitask and have 2 devices open at a time but that’s not possible because I get logged out. Also, we can no longer delete transactions. Mistakes happen and not being able to delete a transaction throws off a whole contract. Sometimes my clients ask for a full invoice so they can see what they’ve paid and when. There are double entries in there that throw off the contract and the client. We can’t simply white out a transaction because that’s suspicious and unprofessional looking on an invoice. Aside from mistakes, there are entries from years ago, previous employees, who didn’t input the information correctly. I wish we had the option to delete a transaction again. **Recommendations to others considering LollyLaw:** It’s a Great way of managing your caseload and files. Working from home these days, you don’t need to have any paper files with you creating clutter and mess in your home. Lolly law is a one stop shop for every file you’d possibly need. Any technical issues can be directed to John via email and he answers super quick. There are rarely any times where the system is down, as updates seem to happen fairly quickly without interrupting the service which is important for me with heavy phone traffic. I am constantly on the phone with someone who needs some information that I have in lolly law. Before the update, I wasn’t able to access lolly law on my cell. But now I can. It’s just as easy as logging into my desk top and for on the go. **What problems is LollyLaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time management. Getting assigned/assigning tasks and reminders are making the office work more efficiently. We are a small office with a lot of work, so it’s a helpful hand to have an easy going system that manages all of our files especially since most of us work from home. On the topic of signing in, I will let the dev team know, but I think when the mobile companion app for V2 comes out, it should take care of this inconvenience since it sounds like you are switching from desktop to mobile frequently. Having a separate app for mobile will be best. Not software related per se, but in general it seems the whole industry is putting more attention on online security for sign in and authentication - we will continue to look at best practices and try to implement solutions that are both secure and convenient. Next, on the topic of being able to edit/delete financial transactions, I am not sure if you are aware, but if not this might be good news to share, there are tools available already to delete and edit transactions. Those tools are powerful and related to financial info, so they are managed by permissions. Let's check the permissions you have and make sure you have the one for "Advance Billing Controls - edit/delete transactions and invoices". Once enabled, you will see new controls to edit/delete transactions and even roll back invoices if you need to. If I misunderstood the issue or what you were needing, let me know. I like that everything is displayed in a timeline and I can filter between types of interactions easily. I also enjoy how easy everything is to edit and update, such as notes about client interactions. I am really excited about the client portal, as I can see where that will be helpful for getting information. **What do you dislike about LollyLaw?** So far there really isn't anything I dislike about Lollylaw. I'm still getting used to the learning curve, but that's not a problem with the program, rather I just need more time with it. The only feature that I wish was different is that when adding a journal entry, you can label the task as a court filing. There are court deadlines, but court filings is not an option and this is something we do very often. I don't like that I have run into walls a couple times where there are paid services I don't have access to. I wish that if a company didn't pay for those features, they wouldn't be available to the normal users. **Recommendations to others considering LollyLaw:** I heard great things about Lollylaw and this lives up to the hype. **What problems is LollyLaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I like that you can tag people so I can easily inform them when action needs to be taken. A feature I really enjoy is that when I fill in information on a client's form, it saves that to their profile for future tasks. Like you, I really like the journal notes and the ability to mention team members and send notifications. The Client Bridge portal is great too. Currently, it's focus is on getting data from the client online. We are adding new aspects to it to make it a great tool for communicating with clients too and providing case status updates online. Now, in one of the items you provide where you said you wish you can label a note as being related to a type of court filing, I have some good news - you know the 'activity type' dropdown that lets you tag the note? The list of options in this dropdown are 100% customizable in your account. An Admin in your account would need to do it by going to Settings->Account Configuration and then updating the 'Activity Type' list. So if the type of court filings you want get added there, then you will be able to use them to tag a note in the journal and even run reports on it (ex. show me all notes this past year for ___ type of court filing). It's especially nice to have all forms and documents linked in a single place and to still have all of our tracking and monitoring tools which we need for our reporting purposes. For the most part, it has been a user-friendly experience with a few hiccups which I'm sure will be addressed with time. **What do you dislike about LollyLaw?** There are still some bugs to work out, particularly with the integration of outside tools. Still haven't been able to sync to Box properly or view files which have been uploaded to Box by other colleagues or been able to successfully integrate Outlook for calendaring purposes. That is perfectly ok and Lolly can do flat fee billing. Any time entries you might enter for a flat fee case will not be billed - they will just be there as a reference for later as to how much time was spent and the value of that time, but again, no time entries will get billed on a flat fee. If it would be helpful, there is an option under Settings->Account Configuration to default all cases to 'Flat Fee'.
