"Its Ubuntu, but better!"
What do you like best about Linux Mint?

It's an upgraded version of Ubuntu by the Linux Community. Compared to ubuntu, it contains more open-source applications and more multimedia codec support. But the real change as compared to ubuntu is the GUI change, which is quite similar to Windows 7/Vista themes. Its been released 16 years ago, yet updates are being done periodically by the community, which makes the OS catch up with modern technological advancements and support for new hardware enhancements as well. Talking about performance, Linux Mint provides better performance and an easy GUI experience as compared to Ubuntu. Its mainly used by beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linux Mint?

First and foremost, not all applications that work on ubuntu will not work on Linux Mint. There is a lack of a device manager. Even though it is a community-driven OS, the community is not large as compared to Ubuntu. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best and Low Maintenance OS ✌️"
What do you like best about Linux Mint?

I like its elegant user interface and Cinnamon version very much. Debian based OS are cool. Linux Mint is a great and free operating system that is very easy to operate and it has an elegant interface with multimedia support as well. I liked its stability with nice Gui which makes it an ideal distro for Windows users. Linux Mint is a low-maintenance OS with low memory usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linux Mint?

It has some compatibility issues with certain pc's. There is no manager for light and dark themes. Normal windows user feels a little bit hard to use it. It has no personal package softwares initially. It has some issues with the dual-screen function which is a little bit irritating. This OS is not for gaming purposes. "Awesome Lightweight Linux OS"
What do you like best about Linux Mint?

The best thing is Linux Mint is based on Debian and Ubuntu. Linux Mint has MATE, XFCE, and Cinnamon flavors and can easily choose any flavor as per the requirements. It is secure, lightweight and open-source. Easy to use interface. Easy to Customize. Easy to install. Low memory (resource) usage. And the best thing is we can test it on our system before actually installing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linux Mint?

Linux Mint has a few issues like WiFi disconnecting automatically. I have to connect the Bluetooth headset manually after every shutdown That's the most annoying thing. Its Package dependencies issue every time I try to install a new application it starts downloading no use dependencies. Poor device drivers support. In a dual-screen setup, I have to put my credentials on the laptop screen for use on dual-screen which irritates me the most. If you are using Linux Mint for business and performance purposes it's good, not for gaming purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
