It's quick, it's intuitive, uncluttered, and simple, and unlike Windows, it isn't enormous. I like the stripped down aspects of Linux because the less crap there is to deal with, the less can go wrong. Unlike Windows, which crashes and requires constant pampering, Linux is solid and dependable, and it boots up in seconds even on older home laptops, unlike Windows, which seems to take forever to boot up after the first two years, assuming you can stand using it for that long. There's not much I dislike, but people less familiar with Linux have trouble with the command window and stripped down GUI, and claim they can't use certain software with it when in most cases, they just don't know how. It can be tricky for people who have been trapped on Windows or IOS forever, but ultimately, it's a cleaner, quicker, less invasive OS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
