LinearB Pricing Overview

LinearB has been transofmrational for our organization, by increasing efficiency, transparency, and quality in our software delivery processes.

Prior to LinearB adoption, we had challenges with feature delivery predictability. Knowing when a release will hit, gauging the timeframes, and planning accuracy are all crucial to us. With LinearB, our releases have become more like clockwork, with surprises (the undesirable ones, at least) becoming a thing of the past.

LinearB ensures that our end product is nothing short of top-notch. With its comprehensive engineering quality metrics, we've observed a significant improvement in engineering core metrics such as PR sizes, New Code/Refactor/Rework ratios and more. We are also now starting to leverage WorkerB which is a fantastic bot that sends meaningful and purposeful pieces of information to teams and individuals. The information is very contextual and it reduces cognitive load on engineers that is requred as they progress through the development cycles.

LinearB has a really nice UI and it is very easy to use. The dashboards and visualizations provide a clear overview of our projects at a glance via GitHub and Jira integrations, allowing for quick decision-making.

Areas for Improvement:

While LinearB shines in many areas, there are a couple of aspects that could benefit from fine-tuning:

While LinearB works seamlessly with Github and Jira, which are the platforms we use, broader integrations could elevate its value even further. It helped us hit the ground running when adapting health metrics into our process. We connected our Gitlab and Jira accounts, set up our squads and projects, and the tool delivered value to us straight away. It's easy for any team member or leader to understand how our time is used, what's currently going on, and how we can measure improvement through process changes.

On top of that, the great team at LinearB has provided us with consistent and helpful support and guidance to ensure we keep getting value from the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are several metrics highly related to the metrics LinearB contains, but we need to source from other tools or that we can't configure in a good way. For example, things like CFR aren't quite working the way we want it (they're currently looking into this for us), and the way our SRE solution works means we can't track incidents in the way we wanted. In addition, there are other external metrics that we have to keep track of manually.
