When I started in Oxygen, I had 6 months to find and launch a learning platform. Learning pool was the only option for us. The implementation was quick, the team were excellent on the project side. The integration into our business was seamless and it's now a huge part of our everyday organisation.

I love the team at learning pool - they are all supportive and helped us achieve the goal of launching our training platform quickly, efficiently and successfully. The software is both efficient and easy to use for users and learners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The reporting is trickier than it should be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We’ve now upgraded to their LXP, and it’s taken our learning experience to the next level. The platform feels personal and purposeful, giving us tools to tailor learning, track skills, and connect it directly to our business goals. The Skills Builder and analytics features have been game changers, helping us identify needs in real time and measure real impact. Their team continues to be responsive, flexible, and genuinely committed to our success. Learning Pool doesn’t just provide a platform, they partner with us to help our people be performance-ready, now and in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Honestly, there’s nothing I’d flag as an issue. The platform is a dream to work with, reliable, intuitive, and meets our needs. The team are attentive and always provide practical, well-thought-out solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The support portal and the learning academy are some of the standout features. It’s responsive, well-organized, and the team behind it is knowledgeable and quick to assist. This has made troubleshooting and learning about new features much easier. The overall platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, which is essential for both administrators and learners. The clean interface and logical layout reduce the learning curve significantly. We use the LMS daily for onboarding, compliance training, and professional development. It integrates well into our workflows and has become a central part of our HR operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While the platform is modern, it lacks deeper AI integration. Features like personalized learning paths or automated content recommendations would be a valuable addition. Also, integration with tools like Outlook Calendar would greatly improve scheduling and learner engagement. Seamless syncing of training sessions with calendar invites is something we’d love to see. The reporting tools, while functional, are quite basic. More advanced analytics, and export options would help us better track progress and impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The more I get used to using it and learn how to modify it, I am finding I can do most of the things I want and the functionality is there to be able to make it relatively easy for end users to interact with the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's just complicated. There is usually a way of doing what I want, but it can be complicated to get it done, or there is a work around, but it's not obvious. Sometimes I have ended up editing HTML to get things as needed, rather than it being out of the box functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate that Learning Pool Platform has removed the responsibility of technical maintenance from us, allowing us to focus elsewhere. I trust it to be a robust platform and it ensures we don't need to worry about security aspects. I also find the dashlets feature particularly useful for surfacing achievements and keeping learners motivated. The platform's capability to host our learning content is straightforward and effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find the initial setup process of Learning Pool Platform a bit complicated due to the need for customization. Additionally, the LMS doesn't meet all my reporting needs, necessitating the use of additional software like LearningLocker to fill in the gaps. I'm not entirely confident in recommending the LMS itself, as it seems less appealing compared to the LXP. Furthermore, I would like to see improvements in the social learning tools offered by the LMS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Events management is much more user friendly on the LXP, clearer to the user what events are being held compared to the LMS

I like the general interface and UI of the site, it’s much more attractive than the LMS.

I like the dyamic ruleset functions for groups, it’s much easier to customise and assign members to multiple groups and much clearer who gets what learning and why Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The LXP isn’t a central point of call that controls all elements eg deleting or suspending a user doesn’t stop emails going to their account

Analytics has a lot of potential but there’s lots of filters and tweaking involved to get the right data which gives a lack of trust in the data. Reporting was more robust in the LMS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use, customer support available and usually quick to respond, comfortable interface, reporting capabilities, the ability to create the reports I need, schedule reports internally and externally, create and manage audiences, send bulk email communications, customise its appearance, and remix dashboards... and there’s still more to discover!. And great to see Learning Pool has and is integrating AI to its platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have had some significant issues in the past with the LMS not communicating correctly with the LRS. While Learning Pool has put good measures in place to prevent this from happening again, we cannot help but feel a bit 'nervous'—there is always a concern that the system is a bit fragile and this could happen again. Both we and our LMS users frequently encounter the 'LRS not available' message, which is understandably frustrating for them. We check the platform, and most of the time, there is no issue, but this means their learning is not being recorded, or they cannot proceed, and they have to redo the learning. We sometimes receive the same message ourselves, despite having a good Wi-Fi connection. We usually tell users, as per Learning Pool’s advice, that their Wi-Fi connection may be the root cause, but this 'LRS not available' message should not appear so often, if at all. I will reviews the LMS rather than the LXP as that is our use basis.

I joined my company 1.5 months ago, after a few years in the industry using more LXP style LMS platforms and In this time I've recieved support from Learning Pool in getting me up to speed with the product. It's currently difficult for me to comment on functionality, however the responsiveness from the technical team and direct support has been great for me. I've spoken directly with Paddy McGuiness a few times and after my first interaction he gave me his direct email to query anything that I was finding sticky. I also love the deep dive sessions via the Academy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find the LMS not to be as user friendly as previous platforms I have used. Our renewal is next year and I'm looking forward to trialling the LXP as from the offset it seems far more streamlined and accessible as a first time user that needs to be able to hit the ground running from an administrative POV. I'm hoping that it may be able to save time administratively and offer a smoother experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We’ve been using Learning Pool at Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, and it’s been excellent. The platform is really flexible and we’ve been able to take it far beyond a standard LMS. With support from the Learning Pool team, we’ve adapted it to record firefighter competencies for risk-critical training and then extract the data to create reports that support performance and assurance.

It’s not something we’ve seen achieved elsewhere, and it’s made a real difference to how we manage and track learning across the organisation. The platform is reliable, adaptable, and the team at Learning Pool have been great to work with throughout.

Would definitely recommend them to other services or organisations looking for more than just an e-learning platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From my side, as a project lead and end user rather than a developer or learning specialist, I’ve had no issues at all it’s intuitive and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think it's a basic learning platform, kind of standalone in this sense with average expected performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They push updates but don’t communicate the release notes on time or in advance. They also don’t have AI functionality. For me, they aren't an innovative platform and the admin side can be quite cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
