Leapfactor MES Reviews & Product Details

What is Leapfactor MES? Leapfactor MES is a Manufacturing Execution System designed specifically for factories in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. It bridges the gap between shop floor machines and management decision-making by connecting directly to PLCs, sensors, and IoT devices on the production line - delivering real-time production data, OEE monitoring, downtime tracking, and material traceability without manual input. Unlike ERP-based manufacturing modules that rely on manual data entry, Leapfactor MES captures data automatically from the machine level. Encoders, counters, and PLCs feed production output, cycle times, and equipment status directly into the system. This means operators, supervisors, and plant managers see live production performance - not yesterday's spreadsheet. Who uses Leapfactor MES? Leapfactor MES serves mid-market to enterprise manufacturers (50 to 1,000+ employees) across industries including steel and metals, automotive components, FMCG, textiles, and food & beverage. It is purpose-built for factories that already have an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or others) but lack visibility into what actually happens on the shop floor between order release and finished goods. Typical users include Plant Managers tracking OEE and downtime, Continuous Improvement teams analyzing production efficiency, Operations Directors managing multi-site performance, and Owners seeking real-time business intelligence from their production assets. What makes Leapfactor MES different? Leapfactor MES stands apart in three key areas. First, native PLC and IoT integration: the engineering team installs and configures hardware connections directly on the production line - sensors, encoders, HMI panels - not just software. This is an engineering capability, not a software feature, and it cannot be replicated by ERP vendors adding a manufacturing module. Second, it integrates with existing ERP systems rather than replacing them. Factories running SAP, Oracle, or Odoo can layer Leapfactor MES on top to gain shop floor visibility without disrupting their current workflows. Third, Leapfactor provides local implementation support with an engineering team based in Bandung, Indonesia, that physically visits the factory floor. Implementations begin with a structured Proof of Concept on a live production line, so customers see measurable results before committing to a full rollout. Proven results Leapfactor MES has been deployed in production environments since 2018. One long-term client, a multi-site steel manufacturer, achieved 99% production yield (1% scrap), eliminated 120 minutes of daily manual document distribution, digitized 12,000 monthly work orders across all plants, and improved operational efficiency by 25% - results sustained over eight years of continuous use. Other clients include manufacturers in automotive (Astra group), food & beverage, building materials, and cold chain industries, with over 30 factory deployments across Indonesia. Leapfactor MES is built and supported by PT Lattice Teknologi Mandiri, headquartered in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia.
