Lambda has been able to adjust and adapt to our needs. We've had to create multiple course shells for the same product because we couldn't create multiple seminars for one course. Because Totara is related to Moodle, there are a lot of similarities. We experienced very little downtime. By default, they're not trying to get you to sell educational products to your customers. **What do you dislike about Lambda Suite?** The Totara UI in general feels outdated and rigid. We made some UI changes, but an LMS update broke things and we had to roll back what we changed. There's a lot of missing functionality that you can find on most other LMS' today. **What problems is Lambda Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we used Lambda Suite's Totara software, it was our primary LMS for providing free self-paced interactive educational material to our customers. Their support team is top notch! Taking the time to truly understand and not just upsell has been the key to our relationship, too many times companies simply just want request more dollars at a problem and not create a solution. Lambda does offer the ability to go down your own path and build your LMS anyway you like, but will also allow you to work with their support team to help build it as well. Finally a big thank you to the entire Lambda Solutions team, we were really ready to pull the plug on the LMS and were looking into other platforms and solution providers. All I can say is talk to Lambda Solutions as they are willing to help and work with you. **What do you dislike about Lambda Suite?** I would like to have access to LMS best practices and sample templates for initial setup of an LMS. I inherited an LMS that was built in a reactive behavior, which made for a lot of finger pointing and just dealing with the unknown. Too often the LMS is a black hole for many of us and we just simply do not know what we do not know. I encourage other admins to ask/talk to Lambda about what their goals are and not just sit back and accept that this is the way it is because it always has been. I wish there was an easy to understand chart of options of what you get with each type of platform and additional package. (I know there is something but something that is easily understood) **What problems is Lambda Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Overall user interface and reporting. We have improved our overall experience for our learners by removing unnecessary clicks and many enrollment keys that created many pain points. SSO was an issue as well when using our LMS which Lambda has improved as well. Working with IT departments can be a struggle at times and Lambda has great support to handle the "IT Talk" Reporting has been a large pain in our side, I struggle with the accuracy of the numbers and this was not just because of the way the reports were created but how the courses were setup and how the data is mined. This is especially helpful to me as a trainer. It is also easy to break down features into groupings so I can get new users started and highlight special features when they are ready to augment their classes. The variety of activities available and setting options is a bonus for our very small yet diverse faculty and student body. We design our courses with Universal Design for Learning principles in mind, and having these choices is one of the critical reasons Lambda Suite (Moodle) works well for us. **What do you dislike about Lambda Suite?** At times, locating the how-to documentation can be difficult, likely due to indexing and terminology most familiar to my institution and me. (Fortunately, because it is so intuitive, there is little need for that extra help). **Recommendations to others considering Lambda Suite:** Training users new to the system is relatively straightforward. The support offered by Lambda Suite is timely for most issues. **What problems is Lambda Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** We began using Lambda Suite to offer online educational options for our accelerated learning program. We soon found that our seated courses could also benefit from it by uploading syllabi, using the Announcements forum, and instructor contact information within the Moodle shells for every course offered by our institution. Eventually, instructors found it helpful to add supplemental materials into the shell, making it a convenient place for students to find everything they need regardless of the course modality. Having the Moodle also allowed us to offer hybrid formats. During the Covid-19 shutdowns in our state, every single course begin taught already had a Moodle shell. Instructors with minimal experience in online teaching were able to use Moodle, even if it was only a place to add a Google Meet or Zoom link to the virtual class. Moodle made it much easier to "pivot" to remote learning in March/April 2020 and then again in November/December 2020. Any changes to the enrollment script must be hand-coded. We are challenged to better integrate all of our different campus systems. **What problems is Lambda Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lambda's LMS reporting solution, Zoola, is very robust. I can quickly see which courses have no students enrolled at the start of the term so that I can fix problems with the course ID number. I use reports to show user activity, large data files, learning trends in activities in courses, and semester data. I find that access to their support team is very valuable. Lambda works with you on your issues and provides effective recommendations and alternatives. Moodle is highly customizable, but require a bit of a workaround to conform to our business needs and I feel much better to have such an expert group people providing guidance and advice to achieve our business goals. **What do you dislike about Lambda Suite?** Lambda's suite of plugins is quite sophisticated and as an organization that is new to LMS and all its capabilities, it is intimidating experimenting with the new plugin and activities and because Moodle is only a small part of the organization's focus, the time and energy dedicated for Moodle is limited. I find that many features and functions of Moodle are left undiscovered because the documentation of how to use it is not readily available or that it not obviously useful. I think it would benefit many users to have a video recording of the many features and their possible use cases. What I find especially useful are templates, specifically, the Zoola templates. It was interesting to be able to modify the templates to the organization's needs. I think users would feel more comfortable working from something that works, instead of creating something from scratch. **Recommendations to others considering Lambda Suite:** Do your research on the function and features and see if you can experiment on the staging site. **What problems is Lambda Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** I utilized Zoola Analytics to identify users that haven't completed a course. We leverage Moodle as an orientation platform to replace our on-site training and orientation event and this is mandatory before being able to work for us. Whenever we have an issue, the ticketing system works well and we have always received great customer service. Solutions are provided quickly. We had a meeting with Sajjad a couple of weeks ago and it was great to connect with someone in person. **What do you dislike about Lambda Suite?** I sometimes find the navigation to a bit tricky-have to click around a lot to find the settings I want. When I am trying to work as an admin it seems to defer back to being a user sometimes so I only see the front end results/progress not the back end for overall users. We use Your Membership as our membership platform, when people complete a course and receive a certificate, the certificate doesn't link back to their Your Membership account. We therefore either have to go look for their certificate and save a copy in their account or ask students to upload it so that we can see they have completed it. With the volume of students we have, it is not possible for us to do it so this is an extra step for students **Recommendations to others considering Lambda Suite:** Check how well it integrates with your other software first, there are some gaps in this which is a bit more work for us. We integrate with Moodle which seems to work well for our courses. You would think their team could generate those and send them to us for review, rather than force us to go create some dummy accounts repeatedly in order to see what we're working on. Most of the service works this way, you go in and create 'tickets' to their help desk for items you need actioned and they assign it to a representative that works on the case. This is different than other LMS my company has implemented over the years. I'm excited to explore the flexibility, look and feel our employees will benefit from moving forward. **What do you dislike about Lambda Suite?** I can't say there is anything I don't like. I do work for a global corporation with very specific requirements. The Lambda team did a fantastic job in understanding our requirements and determining solutions they could provide with their current system, I found all solutions acceptable! If the solution wasn't exactly what we needed the Team was super willing to explore what they could offer us in future enhancements. **What problems is Lambda Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had a need to segregate content to very specific individuals. In our previous LMS there were some suppliers who were required to retain 2 separate URLs with up to 4 separate log ins in order to access all the content they needed. Not ideal for any user experience but even worse when English was not a first language for the majority of these learners. With Lambda, it's a one stop shop.
